With the championship being decided, the final race of the season is a bit of a non-event, but we're off to Abu Dhabi, which, from the limited coverage I've seen of the track, could be a good one regardless.
Renault have signed Robert Kubica to replace Alonso, and have announced a new sponsorhip deal with TW steel after losing their main sponsor, ING, in the wake of the race fixing scandal.
Meanwhile, Donington and Simon Gillett continue to play "will they, won't they" for the British GP in 2010 - my personal thought is they won't, and we'll be back at Silverstone.
Both qualifying and the race are on at 1pm this weekend.

Vettel wins the final race of the season, with Button pushing Webber all the way to the finish line to try and prevent the Red Bull 1-2. Highlight of the race had to be Alguersuari pulling up in the Red Bull pits and being frantically waved through by Vettel's engineers (he's a Toro Rosso driver - he got the wrong pit box.)
Congratulations to McLaren, who pipped Ferrari to third spot in the constructors championship. Isn't that gracious of me? Or is it just that I'll have the last laugh next year when crappy Raikkonen ends up back at the Woking outfit?

Or is it just that I'll have the last laugh next year when crappy Raikkonen ends up back at the Woking outfit? You weren't saying that in 2007. And I think I get the last laugh, as the Mighty Button (a driver I've being championing for years) ends the year as the World Champion. ;D ;D And in 2010, Alonso drives for Ferrari. Could this be the year that Schumi changs her allegiances to other team?

Abu Dhabi didn't look like a bad race track, unlike many of the new ones which tend to be tedious. Certainly better than Singapore under lights as well.
