Hans wants fans to know he didn't ignore PanthersPeterborough Panthers asset Hans Andersen has refuted claims that he ignored advances from the club.
The Danish star, who sealed a loan switch for 2010 to Belle Vue yesterday, is adamant he had conversations with both Panthers owner Rick Frost and team manager Trevor Swales more than two months ago.
Andersen insists his absence from his parent club has nothing to do with the recent departure of his mentor Mick Bratley from his role as Panthers promoter.
Andersen told the Evening Telegraph: "It is not true that I have not responded to contact from Peterborough. I just want the fans to know that I did not ignore the club.
"I spoke to both Trevor and Rick on the phone while last season was still going and I didn't feel that was the right time to talk about a deal as I was a Poole rider at the time. I didn't want to think about next season until I had completed my commitments to them.
"I didn't then receive anymore contact from Panthers after those calls.
This has got nothing to do with Mick - what I do is my business."
Andersen won't be among them, but Panthers have promised fans they are in for an 'exciting night' as several members of their 2010 team are unveiled tonight at a fans' forum at the Marriott Hotel (7.30pm).
