I like Wolbert and remember suggesting that Berwick should have a look at signing him a few seasons ago, but his average must be looked at. He MUST NOT be given an assessed 7.00 average for 2010, but no doubt with Mr Harkess throwing about his MC muscle he will be gifted an assessed 7.00 average.

He (Wolbert) has also extended his contract with Grudziadz.

And with Alex Harkess now bossing the BSPA it's no surprise to see Wolbert gets an assessed average of seven - not even into 2010 and already the BSPA has reduced by interest to zero.

The fat yank has signed on with the Monarchs for 2010 . Translation of the above - The 2009 Ashfield Classic Winner has signed on again for the 2010 PL, PL play offs, PT Trophy, KO Cup, Pairs, Fours, Spring Trophy and Scottish Cup winners!! (nb, I thought it best not to add promotion/relegation play off winners for obvious reasons Good to hear the Fish is back - a real entertainer! Good start to the Monarchs team for 2010.

Quite possibly, with Harkess pulling the strings at the BSPA - what's next? The invisible speedway signed with a guarantee that he only need turn up for away meetings at tracks he doesn't have too much trouble with and a permanent facility at home and tracks the massive talent can't quite cope with?

Thanks for that link Schumi.
I wonder if this will affect Edinburgh in any way.

Looks like Wolbert has applied for Polish citizenship: I am now hearing this has been shelved by Kevin.

Looks like Wolbert has applied for Polish citizenship: I am now hearing this has been shelved by Kevin. Denied, apparently. But he has confirmed he'll be in the GP qualifiers this year (as a German).

Tully and Wethers added to the squad, with Dilger needing to just put pen to paper. Most interesting point of the Monarch press release is "Michal Rajkowski is also a possible candidate for that final position but it was explained that for next season, Polish riders will have to take out an ACU license in order to be allowed to ride in the Premier League. " from www.edinburghspeedway.com/news/article.asp?id=795. Can understand why this step has been taken, but not sure why it's being restricted to PL riders. Rico
