The Hammers take a 23 point lead to Brandon, which, you have to fancy, should be enough to see them win the final, but this is speedway and anything can happen.
I suppose the main question is over the weather. Does anyone know the forecast for Friday?

Hi Schumi --- re the weather --- 3 days of rain leading up to Friday and showers on Friday morning! Just hope the track can take it and we see safe riding for the last ''fix'' of the season.

Joonas Kylmakorpi has been ruled out of this meeting because he's having an operation to remove the metalwork from his elbow, which has come loose. Hammers will operate R/R to cover.

RORY Schlein has been ruled out of tonight's Knockout Cup Final 2nd leg clash with Lakeside after a crash at Ipswich last night.
Schlein has been detained in hospital whilst doctors ascertain the extent of the damage to his shoulder and collarbone having come to grief in the Final of Ipswich's 16-Lapper event.
The Buildbase Bees will use the rider-replacement facility for tonight's meeting at Brandon (8pm start) which means all members of the team with the exception of skipper Chris Harris are eligible for one of Schlein's outings.

RORY Schlein has been ruled out of tonight's Knockout Cup Final 2nd leg clash with Lakeside after a crash at Ipswich last night. So Lakeside face a much stronger outfit now, but hopefully our 23 point cushion will still be enough to see us through!!

The Hammers win the KO Cup and, to add insult to injury, they also win at the Bastion of Delusion 41-49 in the process. Shields seems to have been the star of the show for the Hammers, with 16 points out of a possible 18. So, many congratulations to our good friend young stanley on his first - and hopefully not last - trophy as Lakeside owner.

Well I would not be me if I did not say it!
But well done to the Lakeside Skipper, 30+1 from 11 rides in the final resulting in a CMA of 11.27 over the two legs and a cup win for the Hammers.

Very proud of all our boys last night. We won it convincingly which makes it all the more satisfying. A really good team performance and I'm very happy for Jon and Stuart. I was even happier to see Cookie drenched in champagne by the boys on the podium ;D. That will have been a very sticky drive home!
The boys will be presented with their winning medals on Wednesday night at 8pm in the Raceway Tavern at the Arena Essex Raceway. All are welcome.

Congratulations to Lakeside on winning last night.
Not a bad meeting, but could have been better had the track not been so slick. Typical end of October fare in many ways.
