That doesn't come anywhere close to possibly the most bizarre moment speedway has ever seen when Alan Mogridge guested for ........Alan Mogridge. Kev, wasn't there also an instance where one team tracked a rider in the same meeting that their opponents used R/R for him? I think it was going back a bit, so you should know the answer. ;D Cheeky git .......there may well be Genghis, but I don't recall that anymore than I remember who wore the number 7 race jacket in the 1974 World Final.

Not quite sure who's guesting for the World Champ but rumour has it that for the home (for BV anyways) leg his replacement will be Sube's new beggar, Chris Harris. Is Crump with-holding his services? That can surely be the onyl reason that Belle Vue would be eligible for a guest facility. After all, Crump managed to ride on Saturday with no trouble. In my opinion, if Crump could race last Saturday, he can race this Saturday.

Kev, my World Final racejacket knowledge is largely restricted to the 1980s

I don't like a rider competing in one league but not another, but there are exceptions when an injured rider chooses to ride against the pain barrier in a World Championship meeting and that's fine and it's been happening for years. High profile cases have included Peter Collins (1977) and Kenny Carter (1984).

What a load of bollocks.........it's quite simple really........a rider is one of two things, injured or fit!!!

How is that any different from Peter Collins riding in the 1977 World Final, a good 3-4 weeks before he returned to action for Belle Vue???

Then he should choose to ride for the team he decided to 'use' when it suited him......it's my belief that if a rider withdraws from any official meeting he should then be declared 'injured' for a period of four weeks.........that would sort the GPitus out in one fell swoop!!!

Why four weeks? Where did you pluck that number from? A rider gets a minor injury that means he can't race for a few days or a week, and you want to stop him from earning for 4 weeks?? I've heard some daft suggestions, but that's right up there...

I am sure that after Monarchs score 60 on Sat night that Mr Crump will suddenly be fit for Monday night

Crump isn't riding for BV this saturday or again this season.
The Aces will use R/R for Crump and Josh Auty comes in for Lubos Tomicek although that could be dodgy too as there's rumours he's been riding abroad.
We shall see.
Edited to add: The above is for the Edinburgh leg. Nobody seems to know what the BV team will be for the Kirky Lane leg.

So this is the guy that Kev thinks should be back riding for Belle Vue. I don't like riders taking the piss, but it hardly be extended to Crump following his nasty burns injury. He was, actualy still is, geniunely injured. Anyway it's simple - he's come back to ride whilst still injured, but then gone back onto the sidelines to have an operation. What part of that is unacceptable?

I don't care whether Crump rides or not. But he rode on Saturday and that means he should be able to ride this coming Saturday. If he doesn't then Belle Vue should be denied a facility. That'd make clubs think twice. Enough is enough.
