DAVEY Watt will return to his former club Poole as a guest rider for Belle Vue in Thursday’s vital Elite League showdown.
Watt replaces Jason Crump who is travelling to Slovenia for the Grand Prix – and he’ll have the help of Aces mechanic Johnny Bailey.
Boss Chris Morton said: “Davey requested some help because he has been so busy so we have arranged for Johnny to go down.”
BSPA
And it's R/R for Lubos Tomicek who has a broken collarbone. No offence to Davey, but he's hardly an ample replacement for Crump. Do the Aces actually want to be in a relegation battle?

I'm sure the Aces don't want a relegation battle, but it appears Crump does. So let's get this right, Nicholls is riding friday night, but Crump can't even turn out on thursday.

Although Nicholls has been AWOL earlier in the season for GP practise on a Thursday, he does seem to have made it a one-off. Crump seems to only care about himself - but then again, perhaps that's what's making him the world champion.

Why are Belle Vue allowed a guest?? - surely it should be a PL rider with an average up to 6.00.

So let's get this right, Nicholls is riding friday night, but Crump can't even turn out on thursday. But no blame should be attached to Crump, but instead to the weak, ineffectual Belle Vue management. Morton again is shown to be highly lacking.

Hatcham, clearly Chris Morton is allowing Crump to walk all over him. Whose fault is that? I remember in 2003 when Nicki P tried to take the pee at Oxford, refusing to go into Heat 15 and inventing mysterious illnesses before GP rounds. Waggy's response was to show him the door and bring in Greg Hancock.

Just who do you presume Morton would be able to bring in for the possible relegation play-off, Hancock ? Pedersen ? Sajfutdinov ? more likely Lyons, Stonehewer or Havelock. Face facts whether Morton is competent or not, he is in a no-win situation with Crump, and it's more than likely the ginger whinger will bang in a maximum at Kings Lynn, keep the Aces up and be hailed as the saviour, so poor old Chris will just have to get with the programme(which he is)
