All children under the age of 12 will be admitted free of charge to this Sunday's (August 12) Oxford vs Sittingbourne clash, if accompanied by a paying adult.
The scheme was in offer for the Oxford vs Rye House clash last Friday, and there were a healthy number of children inside the stadium.

Not the most enthralling of meetings, but here's the report. For details of how Oxford equalled a club record, please refer to the Cheetahs website.
Sunday, August 12, 2007 OXFORD CHEETAHS 71 SITTINGBOURNE CRUSADERS 21 Oxford win aggregate point by 115-66 (Conference League)
Oxford Cheetahs moved up to third place in the Conference League table, after this demolition of the Sittingbourne Crusaders.
With the closure of the M40 motorway causing chaos, two second half races were held first to allow Harland Cook more time to reach the stadium. The first of these races saw a first-ever win around Cowley for Matt Davis, who used to stand on the terraces, before deciding to give racing a go at the start of this season.
Once the main meeting got underway, it was one-way traffic.
Lee Smethills and Danny Betson slammed in a convincing 5-1 in Heat 1, ahead of Dean Felton and Jon Stevens.
Brendan Johnson won Heat 2, while Oxford team-mate Matt Bates came through from fourth to second, passing Jerran Hart on lap 1 and Joe Reynolds on lap 3.
Oxford then slammed in a further five 5-1s, and a maximum 75-15 started to look a possibility.
Hart became the first Sittingbourne rider to finish in second place in Heat 8. He trapped alongside Betson, and although Betson soon pulled clear, Hart retained second place in front of Johnson.
Kyle Hughes missed the gate in Heat 9. He soon passed Hart for third place, and then closed in on Felton, but Felton held on for second place. Jordan Frampton won the race on borrowed machinery.
After another easy 5-1 for the Smethills / Betson pairing in Heat 10, Sittingbourne team manager Chris Hunt nominated Felton as a tactical ride in Heat 11. Felton was the early leader of the race, but soon overhauled by Sam Martin. However, Felton retained second place ahead of Bates, and the race finished as a 4-4.
Frampton & Johnson took maximum points from Heat 12, while Felton briefly led Heat 13, but Martin and Smethills were soon past, on the way to a 5-1.
Hart looked like he may become Sittingbourne's first race winner in Heat 14, but Hughes steamed around him after a lap, and with Bates in third, it was a 4-2 to Oxford.
Martin & Betson both missed the start in Heat 15, but they were past Felton in no time, and Martin blasted around Hart down the back straight to take the lead. Betson charged under Hart on the third and fourth bends, and the Cheetahs pair then dashed away to Oxford's ELEVENTH 5-1 on the night.
Hughes, on his first home appearance since returning from a foot injury, was nominated as the Linda De Boise Rider Of The Night by club stalwart Nobby Hall. Nobby had been discharged from hospital earlier in the day, after swallowing a chicken bone.

Another waste of time and a shocker for speedway how do people charge for getting in to watch this rubbish .
2 oxford riders half a lap ahead of riders who can't even ride a bike total dogs muck .
The sooner they scrap this league or make in into a under 21's league the better .

Hortonfan, Ironically, although last night's meeting was very one-sided, it was still a lot, lot better than most of the Elite League meetings at Cowley earlier in the season. Acutally, it contained better racing than that quite awful Swindon vs Peterbroough Sky match last Monday And the CL crowds at Oxford continue to rise - must have been 700-750 in the stadium last night. The only "dog's muck" on here seems to be the crap contained in your post. ;D All the best Rob

Hortonfan, Yeah whatever ... that's why crowds are on the increase each week Anyone else seems to be wishing Oxford well at the moment, the fact you are knocking it and coming out with false statements, says something about you as a person. Hortonfan, your name suits you, you and Horton deserve each other, I hope you're very happy together. ;D All the best Rob

I guess it's all a matter of opinion, and it looks like you two are never going to agree. The support on the terraces seems to indicate some people at least are interested and if it gives the youngsters a bit of practise time I'd say that's a good thing.

Surely if it displeases you so much, why do you make the effort to spout such bollocks. Best you go and do what the original Horton did and fuck off & watch/comment on what you would consider better racing in other leagues. fog Note: just edited to sort out the quote for you, fog. Your post remains unchanged, as does yours Hortonfan. Schumi.

It has it faults like British Speedway in general, but from my watching the shambles that is Elite league, it refreshing to watch honest raw racing at this level. My appologies if I sounded out of order, but fuck it, it's my first of seven nightshifts so not in the best of moods ;D fog

All the best Rob Ha ha peasley on the hook again ;D it so easy ;D Get a life muppet, we don't do that shit round here. If you want to have a sensible conversation, then do so, if you just fancy going on the wind up, as far as I'm concerned you ain't welcome and can fuck off at the earliest opportunity available to you.
