I like that very much so far Rigsby - apart from Zabik is there anyone else you would keep from the 2009 team if push comes to shove? PS. Did notice that Hans looked far from upset with the promotion (or team manager) in the pits on Thursday evening ;D And if Poles are the way we are headed in 2010 I would love to see Miedzinski added to the line-up. On second thoughts I'll make it up as we go along (in no particular order): 1 Andersen 2 Darcy Ward 3 4 5 6 7 Team manager: Jim Lynch

Well the shackles are on at Peterborough to save the girls some work but Mags has managed to reiterate the obvious which gets ovelooked as people inclue Zabik, both Drymls and Vissing in their 2010 side Its interesting to read fans predicted team line ups for next season, but lessons have to be learned from the last two disastrous seasons.
You cannot build a team from riders who are just going to be strong at home and quoting Trevor Swales " Hopefully can nick the odd point away".
I appreciate you have to be strong on your own track, but i think most decent riders who have the opportunity to ride 20+ matches around Alwalton are going to get the feel for it sooner rather than later.
Its away from home where we need to concentrate on and to build a team from riders who are comfortable riding all tracks ,especially the smaller ones. As a team we are notorious poor on smaller circuits and that has to be prioritized if we are going to be successful.
Secondly being a sentimentalist just because a rider is a nice guy wont bring you success either. We have got far too many nice guys in this current squad and I'm sorry to say they just haven't got that cutting edge needed.
Bager, Dryml,Vissing, Korneliussen all nice guys, but have they got what it takes? Answer no! Their away form is pitiful.
You need to be ruthless in this sport choose your team accordingly. If you going to start saying "well yes lets have him back because his average is low ,or lets have so and so back because he makes you laugh in the press conferences after matches, then fine!but you just end up with the same old who will win nothing. & 3 Poles, Dryml and 2 Wolves ;D My Team Without Darcy 1. Hans Andersen 2. Nic Klindt 3. Miedzinski 4. Zengota 5. Lukas Dryml 6. Ty Proctor 7. Zabik From Peterborough site.

When unless you know that he's signed then why include him Would certainly be a challenge for a team manager getting that team on track and keeping them inspired and motivated throughout the season. If we've learnt anything then reliable, tried and tested is better than "worth the risk", but we may well end up with risks, especially as we see Poland as the golden goose.

The miserable little bugger needs to bring his Polish and SGP bikes to the EOES and he'll soon be averaging over 9...

Bargain every year and when Ales hits his 2005 form we'll be laughing: The Dane says he is upset by some of the flak he has taken from Panthers' fans on internet forums. Some supporters claim Bjerre's performances have not matched up to those in the GP series, where he is currently in seventh place and just ahead of fellow countryman and reigning World Champion Nicki Pedersen. Bjerre, who rides on his 'home' Swedish track at Malilla in this weekend's FIM Scandinavian Grand Prix, told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph: "I have read all the stuff on the internet and I'm not happy about it.
"If people have a problem with the way I'm riding they should be man enough to speak to me at the track, not go home and write on their computers. "The things they are saying about my equipment in England are nonsense anyway. I am using the same stuff that I use everywhere else.

I wouldn't have put it quite like that myself but see where you're coming from and Plummer was on the right lines IMO: "But there is one view that doesn't sit well with me. Frost claimed that 'adverse comments' have had a damaging effect on the spirit of his team during the second half of the season. I don't buy into that. Professional sportsmen have to take the rough with the smooth and paying punters should always be allowed to have their say. Riders will be lavished with praise when things go well but should expect stick if that's not the case." The problem with Bjerre was that it was getting more than a touch repetitive, much like me with Swales bringing in Bager for his points power away from home

Go and play 20 questions with that bloke on the BSF, he's narrowed it down considerably, especially if you read his signature
