So, the BSPA's chosen bidder for the signal honour of being Chris Brown's new hero is Allen Trump. Mr Trump, who is heavily involved in the bid to re-open Exeter, will promote Oxford in the Conference League for the remainder of 2007 and then hopes to take the club to a higher level in subsequent years. Good luck to the fellow.

OXFORD'S return to the sport will move a step nearer next week when new owner Allen Trump holds a fans' meeting at the stadium. Trump is expected to outline his plans for the future of the club next Wednesday, June 20, with Conference League racing expected to commence soon after. The West country property developer has stepped in to save the sport at Cowley after the club was closed down by former owner Colin Horton a fortnight ago, which ended the Cheetahs' run in the Elite League. Conference racing is expected to take place predominantly on Wednesdays, although it may well be that the re-opening will take place on Sunday June 24. Trump said: "Racing on a Friday would present problems because four tracks already race on that night and it would mean at least five home meetings would have to be re-arranged. "My plan is to try and race on Wednesday nights, and I want to get as many fans in as possible. "There will be concessions and special things for the kids. It's not my way to try and milk the fans, though admission prices are still being discussed." From: www.speedwayworld.tvSo back to Wednesdays it looks like. I know a lot of people were happy with the change to Fridays so I'm not sure how they'll react if it goes back as before. I guess the die-hards will be there no matter what.
