Brent Werner is still completing Heat 14 as we speak. Just got back from Rye. As it only took a total of six hours to get there, watch the meeting and return, "why don't you go there more Genghis?", I here you ask. Well maybe it's got something to do with the bloody awful dustbowl of a track. Today there was Lee Dicken out there busting a gut and what does he get for all his efforts? 4 points, because he wants to go there and race, instead of poodling around, which is the correct way to ride Rye. Heat 12 was a really good race, but I think that was some kind of fluke. Anyway, I think I'm going to go and have a shower, whereupon I'm likely to do a Michael Jackson and change from black to white.

I enjoyed the company of Paulco & Merlin, but didn't enjoy the racing so much. I actually like some small tracks, but Rye is prepared superslick and also has awkward bends (such as the infamous adverse camber on the second bend). It just doesn't encourage good racing. Not a track for the neutral to enjoy and I doubt if I'll make the relatively short journey down the M40 and M25 again this season. I'd rather go to Super Scunny even though it's twice the distance away.
