So, it seems, according to his post on the BSF, that Aaron Lanney refused to sign Antonio Lindback for the Oxford Cheetahs. Lanney's post was interesting for his use of "I" instead of "we". Does this suggest that others within the Oxford camp, such as owner Colin Horton or his underling Trevor Swales, were willing to countenance the signing? As with most things connected with the circus that is Oxford speedway that's something we're just left to wonder. Almost as interesting is the current situation regarding Ales Dryml. Dryml has ridden the last couple of weeks in Poland, but hasn't appeared for Oxford since breaking a collarbone earlier in the season. We're now told by Bryn Williams at the BSF that Oxford have been allowed 28 days to replace Dryml. We are therefore left to assume that Dryml is with-holding his services or is being presumed to be with-holding his services. We await the official announcement from Oxford. Some - young Hammond, perhaps? - would call it spin, others, less generous, would suggest it is nothing less than obfuscation.

And some wouldn't know what obfuscation means. Jesper managed a surprisingly improved score last night, suggesting there have been "words had" all round. Now Pepe has to improve his game, and the reserves keep on the ball, or sadly Oxford are going to find themselves well and truly at the bottom of the league with no way up.

And now it seems Antonio has been in talks with Belle Vue, but by saying he'll get back to them "if and when he wants to come back" isn't exactly convincing me he's enthusiastic. Does he want to come back, and more to the point, will he still be wanted if he does decide to grace us with his presence?

If you do not mind me saying Schumi the lad seems to be playing silly buggers. ;D
I would love for him to sign up with Belle Vue and just get stuck in and recapture that terrific form he is capable of. I can't see any team signing him up to ride for them on the basis of whenever he fancies it to be honest.

As for Ales Dryml, all will become clear in due course, but the happiness and well-being of the rider is the prime importance - if that pisses you off in the process, then so be it. All the best Rob Note: Editied to take out the ridiculous * that have replaced the "i" and "e".

Well in light of what's happened in the last few days, a cynic might assume this was contrived to save some money before the track was closed down.
