SWINDON boss Alun Rossiter believes club owners took a massive step forward for the future of the sport at a General Council meeting on Tuesday.
Rossiter couldn’t give out specific details but said there was a hugely positive feeling at the end of the meeting.
He said: “It was the best meeting of club bosses I have ever attended. It will help the sport over the next few years.”
LAKESIDE chief Jon Cook insists British Speedway is looking forward to a bright future – despite a controversial season so far.
Cook has been outspoken on the way he would like to see the sport run in the UK.
He said: “Our General Council meeting on Tuesday was a massive success. It was the best BSPA meeting I have ever been to and I firmly believe we’re on the right track for a bright future.”
From the BSPA.

Nothing as usual where my money lies.
They know that the crap with Poole and Coventry and then topped off with the rule change has seriously dented the reputation of the sport. This in my opinion is some sort of "genius idea" by the BSPA to get fans back on side. Tell us fantastic things were agreed but dont tell us what they were so that we sit all season long like good little lap dogs and wait for the next pile of shit to be handed to us for the 2010 season.

Reading between the lines on this one, I'm guessing that it was agreed in priciple to hand over the responsibility of running the sport to a third party...........if I've got it wrong, then so have they......this seriously is a do or die situation (imo).

The trouble is we've heard it all before from the BSPA, and invariably their clever plan to revolutionise the sport is some daft rule change.
I'll believe there's been radical changes when I see them.
