I'm reliably informed the Old Mongol is at KL tonight - if you see him wandering around, say hello, but for goodness sake, keep him away from DropACog. Decided to go in the end then? Can't wait to hear his report from there and can't believe he has to be in Stockport for nearly a month. He must have been really bad if that was his punishment.

I thought he was never going back there again He's probably bored of div two speedway and wanted to see some decent riders for a change. Oh maybe he just decided to slum it with some "Elite" League rubbish.

Nothing that exciting, I'm afraid - he's working there.
Thanks for the results, youngy. Surprising as Lakeside were ahead last time I looked, but at least they managed to pick up a point.

Aces got a few 5-1's mid meeting to go in front. I think they got 3 on the spin in heats 6, 7 and 8. Still blew it in heat 15 though getting 5-1'd and letting Lakeside leave with 1 league point.

BV fans still wanna sign Ward.
As for Stockport, I don't think it's that bad of a place. Neither Bury. However Bolton and Oldham...urgghh!

Harry...in the past few years we gave ample track time to Tai Woffinden, Joe Haines, Josh Auty, Adam Roynon and more and did we sign them............did we balls. We've got as much chance of signing Ward permanently as I have of winning the Danish GP this Saturday via a Nicki Pedersen exclusion. Stockport...it ain't too bad really but given the choice I'd move.

Can't really think of anything nice Stockport gave the world.....apart from Roisin from the band Moloko. Now, she was nice

I thought he was never going back there again You know how it is? Stranded in Manchester (well, Reddish, near Stockport, near Manchester) and searching for a fish and chip shop when I passed the Belle Vue stadium. Should I, shouldn't I? I made the wrong choice, although it was nice to bump in to young stanley from the Lakeside Hammers. The racing was just about non-existent and the only fun to be had was laughing at the various ways the announcer managed to come up with saying Gjedde - he had at least five variations. By the way, the Belle Vue programme leaves you in little doubt that Chris Morton is a MBE - was also fun to watch him (from the "grassy knoll" on turn 2, which is one of the few decent vantage points at Kirkmanshulme Lane) running around like a self-important demented sheep in the pits. And what the fuck is that inflatable thing that pops up just past the start-finish line when Belle Vue get a 5-1 all about?

Did you make it all the way to the end of Heat 15 this time? I did, but only because I had nothing better to do.

He rarely popped up in 2007 and we only saw fleeting glimpses of him in 2008. Did you know it takes 2 freeloaders to operate that thing. I swear there's often more people in the pits at Belle Vue than there is paying punters.
