"Can you tell us how important it is for you to pick up the points in this heat/meeting/at home?" Well, she's an improvement on Sophie "are you going to make any changes?" Blake.

I`d like to nominate Nicki P for breaking his finger having a hissy fit after being excluded from the final of the GP. Actually, don`t really care who wins the award,it just made my day when he was turfed out of the final... Seconded ! Tbh he should be FOTW every week ! He is just one big Flapperjack ! Closely followed by Nigel Pearson for his endless screeching and unecessary endless chit-chat, and for so often getting it wrong. And then followed by Charlie Bloody Webster for ....well, just for being so bloody annoying and asking the most dull and obvious questions.... and generally making a twit of herself.... Get Jonathon Green in the pits full time - he is just the best (well, if we can't get Suzi Perry back, that is ! ) I don't like Jonathan Green at all, not sure exactly why - maybe it's the uncanny resemblance to a nodding dog? I prefer ex riders myself, even Sudden Sam made me laugh for the first time ever on Saturday with the remark about Nicki not taking the chair he had kicked on holiday with him

After doing a bit of digging and with more information to hand now, I'm going to nominate the Swindon scummer who called himself a promoter at Reading for "legging it" and leaving the club in the shit.

Same old story Sub, not on a Horton scale, but none the less a promoter who's not short of a bob or two going to ground and leaving creditors chasing money owed is out of order.
From what I've heard there are a number or people who are owed money, not huge amounts (well not the ones I know of), one person went to the press, others who thought it wouldn't be in the clubs best interest, despite being what sounds like well & truly stiched up, decided it's best to retain a dignified silence.
BSPA are aware but not interested so it seems, although other rumours suggest that there may have been larger debts and the promoters bond held by the BSPA and the sale of rider assets have cleared these debts.
In other words, even if a new stadium is on the horizon, it looks like we're fucked as we have no assets and no promotion.

I guess that means on Thursday Matej Zagar will be unveiled as an asset of the man with the tan.

He told me himself 5 years ago that Zagar would be a Swindon asset one day - guess he's just about to be proved right, although I suspect it took a bit longer than he'd anticipated

A local paper wouldn't have run a story of that kind unless they were certain it was true. Very, very sad, as it seems to knock on the head a quick return for the Reading Racers. Looks like you have your very own Prince Flapperjack.

Genghis, I don't want to get into this again but as I said before the Evening Post (or Reading post as they're known from today) aren't a great one for checking facts before printing stories!! They'll assume and presume and print apologies if they're wrong afterwards.
It seems they took the word of 1 person who went to them with the story, so yes they could then be certain of the fact that at least 1 person was owed money, but to be honest if your trying to point score against me with a "told you so" I really couldn't give a fuck.

Wacks - sorry if it came across as "I told you so", it wasn't that. It's more bloody annoyance that again a promoter is allowed to walk again owing money - and again the BSPA do little about it.

Couldn't agree more Wacks. Unfortunately I think we have seen the end of the Racers and that will be that. Have to say i was a little concerned when we were bailed out by Swindoners to start with but was probably blinded by the fact that we were already staring down the barrel of a gun. The moral of the story is that we should have never have sold the long term lease for a quick buck..... but that's history Pip

Yep Pip, in many respects Reading's days were pretty much numbered once BSI bailed out, it was great to see the 2007 season out and to get another year out of Smallmead as well, but Mark Legg has pretty much gone from hero to zero with this. Quite shocked to be honest as he genuinely seemed a decent enough bloke if a little out of his depth. Think the real moral of this story is never trust a scummer

I'd like to nominate Allan Trump the Chump for his latest rant at our use of Hans. I'm no way condoning anything that is supposed to have gone on at Poole, but this guy should really learn to keep his mouth shut. You'd think he and his Bees cronies might have more important things to concentrate on with getting their own illegal team sorted, but no, he's spinning more shite on the Bees website today. Is this how he conducts himself in his day to day business you think? The sport is doomed with fuckwits like this in charge of clubs.

And here's the rant squirlie is referring to: www.coventrymotorspeedway.com/news.php?extend.855Since Coventry haven't yet coughed over the readies for Kennett, does Trump now consider that they've mugged the insane tractor-driving lunatic from Sussex regarding Mr Fidget?

It's more bloody annoyance that again a promoter is allowed to walk again owing money - and again the BSPA do little about it. What do you want the BSPA to do about it. The said promoter has lost his bond and any assets and will probably lose his license. I don't see what else they can do.
