I think Forsberg's just about finished, full stop.

I think Forsberg's just about finished, full stop. He seems to have those thoughts himself at the moment. Tough times as he never saw a penny of the sign-on money from Gdansk, and now a shattered thumb.

Hope he's notified the Belle Vue management of his intentions. I like Billy but I just think he's way too injury prone. He's been with Belle Vue since 2007 and every season we've endured a period where he's been injured and always with hand injuries. I don't seem to remember missing Crump for any period through injury during his 6 seasons with the club.
Good Luck to Billy in whatever he decides to do.
I'll refrain from posting this on the BV forum after the uproar that was caused last time.............ahhhh sod it, I'll do it anyway.

Looks like you've opened up a can of worms, erik. Belle Vue's website says:
"Team manager Chris Morton is to talk to injured Swede Billy Forsberg over a report claiming he doesn't want to return to Elite League racing."
I guess Billy forgot to tell Mort, then. Mind you, it's the second time this year there's been a lack of communication between the two parties.

Can't claim the "honour", it was Per Gustafsson and Race Magazine who wrote and published the article

Times are tough for Billy at the moment. His Swedish club, Vastervik, haven't been using him due to his average being high, Gdansk still owe him money, and he had an offer with another Polish team, but had to decline it, because it would have meant he'd never get what he was owed. He's still had meetings in the Allsvenskan, but it's not enough to earn a living.

Couldn't afford it as Gdansk didn't pay him.
