That will strenghthen them. I'm assuming this is temp cover for the luckless Batchelor, who has been pants this year.

News from Lakeside tonight is that Swindon have signed Matej Zagar. They either moved very quickly, or a Zagar move was already on the cards - had the Swindon management become disillusioned with unSteady so soon, or was Batchelor on his way out before his injury?

That didn't come cheap I'll bet! The proof of the pudding will, no doubt, be in the turning up.

The rumours are that Zagar stopped turning up for Reading when he stopped being paid. How true that is I'm not sure, but the news you posted today doesn't do much to discredit the claim.

A previous promoter at Reading told me different Schumi. Strange that Kolodziej, Davidsson, McGowan etc all turned up each week. I was told that Zagar's biggest problem was his so called UK manager. Matej's got a big talent but also the ego to match, if that's kept in check then he's not a problem apparently. I think one of the comments made to me were "let him know who the boss is".

Good for them and the other teams that move quickly to get cover for long term injuries. If they could give Eastbourne some tips on doing the same that would be great.

Well, to be fair, pay wouldn't have been an issue seeing as they never scored anything.

I'm a little surprised that amid all this chopping and changing in the Elite League no one has had a look at Janusz Kolodziej. Or is he just playing hard to get? Miedzinski also in top form on the continent.

Just for that, may Nicki Pedersen be cursed with 1000 engine failures. Think he's already used those up in the U21s - he has an appalling record. I'm a little surprised that amid all this chopping and changing in the Elite League that no one has had a look at Janusz Kolodziej. Or is he just playing hard to get? Miedzinski also in top form on the continent. Didn't both of them say they didn't want to ride here this year?
