The Swedish champion doesn't seem to have noticed the financial crisis and has knocked back an offer from the Pirates that was an improvement on last season's terms:
Struggling Poole look increasingly unlikely to be in a position to make team changes ahead of their trip to Peterborough on Thursday night which would have been the first opportunity they would have to strengthen their side. Poole boss Matt Ford has told www.poolespeedway.net that: "I haven't been able to agree terms with anyone as yet that would help us in our cause to strengthen up and so it seems evident that we won't be able to make any change this week. I am absolutely determined to try and get the right men for the task but at the same time we have to be absolutely sensible as to what the club can afford. I have been trying very hard to bring Magnus Zetterstrom back, as many people have speculated over, but we are a very long way apart in agreeing terms with Zorro even though we have offered better terms than last season. It is extremely frustrating for me but I can assure you talks are continuing, virtually as we speak. All I can do is appeal to the Poole fans to be patient a little longer. If we can lift our game this week and get through our meetings against Lakeside on Wednesday and Peterborough on Thursday then there will be some breathing space before we have another match."

On the face of it, it looks like riders missing out on Britain feel they can hold struggling Elite League teams to ransom if an Elite League promoter comes knocking.
