It appears that a Swedish newspaper is reporting that Ricky Kling has signed for the Lakeside Hammers. No doubt, according to the Brown, this is a devious attempt by the Lakeside promotion to attract Oxford supporters.

Until this point I thought I had some fair idea as to what Stuart was planning, but I have to admit this one has really thrown me. If all the rumours are to be believed it could mean a few prudent changes coming in one go, and that those play offs aren't so unrealistic after all. But I'm wondering if Ricky has been signed as a future asset rather than for this season?

Ricky has been confirmed this morning, with Bager and Hurry to make way for the new riders. A good move, in my opinion. Full story at: www.lakesidehammers.com

I'm sure it won't surprise you that i disagree Having seen Ricky a number of times over the past few seasons i have never seen anything to make me think he can make it in the Elite League. But then i have never seen him ride on a track under 300m i guess.Which is what the EL consists of.Still waiting to finally decide if i was right or wrong with Lubos as well ;D

One thing's for sure - Hurry had to go. No doubt you would have signed Andy Smith though. ;D

No.I would have signed Kevin Wölbert ;D I remain more than a little surprised that not one single British club showed an interest in young Wölbert after he expressed an interest in the UK towards the end of last season. I'd hoped young Waite at Berwick might've taken a punt - useful asset to have, I suspect, given that macattack is tipping him for the top. No doubt eventually a Ford or a Sandhu would've coughed over the readies for him.

Well considering Kevin finished with 2 points more than Belle Vue's new signing Billy Forsberg in the Vojens U21 semi the other week i am also surprised at least a PL team hasn't been in for him.But at just 18 he has time on his side.Plus it does seem that most of the top youngsters are not riding in Britain at the mo.Pavlic,Sajfutdinov,Gustafsson,Jonasson,Klindt...so he is in good company
