... and it would appear there's nothing to touch the Red Bull in the rain. Great to see another new team winning (the second new winners this year) and even better to see Ferrari out of the points for a third successive race. ;D (sorry, Schumi ) Meanwhile, Button has extended his championship lead further and will be more than happy with third. And what a charging race from Lewis Hamilton. Ultimately he would have been better to sit back, but his decision to go out and race provided real entertainment, even if ultimately he destroyed his tyres. This year he has no realistic chance of wining the World Championship, so insted we're seeing Hamilton the racer and it's great to see. Kimi Raikkonen must have been wondering what was going on when Hamilton passed him for a third time.

They've had limited practice in the rain, so I think third and fourth in today's race is outstanding. And what a shame Sutil crashed out with only a few laps to go - I willing on the Force India to some points, to leave Ferrari alone on nil points in the Constructors Title ;D (sorry again Schumi, but I'm making the most of it while it lasts )

Putting Button on a one-stop strategy ? I just feel Brawn played it very conservatively today, and whatever the sport, playing it safe early on, rarely pays dividends.

Brawn is the master tactician, but the Red Bulls were too fast today. If you notice Barichello made his second stop very late, so I guess there was a plan for Barichello to hold up the Red Bulls to allow Button to win. But the Red Bulls were so quick that they were ahead of Barichello even when he had one stop still to go. Any amount of strategy won't work when the other car is a couple of seconds a lap faster. Red Bull will be praying for more rain in the next few races. I'm not sure what conditions the Ferrari will excel in, though - snow maybe. ;D ;D (sorry Schumi )

Schumi, but both Ferraris also went off during the safety car phase. In any case, it wasn't Hamilton's greatest race by any means, but he was bloody entertaining this morning. He spent the whole race either passing Raikkonen or taking excursions off the track. And he did all that - and STILL finished four places ahead of Kimi. How did that happen? Schumi, what was your assessment of Ferrari's race today? ;D ;D

Crap, but had Massa's car not given up I think he'd have been ahead of Hamilton.

Crap, but had Massa's car not given up I think he'd have been ahead of Hamilton. Probably, but would "five spins at Silverstone" Massa have managed a whole wet race without a couple of spins later on? And the mighty Button only put one foot wrong during the whole race. And have you seen the Planet F1 website - what a sore loser Briartore is?

Do you mean the television rights money issue? Flav's a passionate man, but he does come across as a bit of a pillock. Mind you, working with Fernando would turn me into a raving looney too.

Mind you, working with Fernando would turn me into a raving looney too. True. But he seems to have forgotten the debt he owes to Ross Brawn for Benetton's mid-90s glory days. Has Brawn won more races than Schumacher yet?

Hmmm, but Schumi you also tipped Massa for the championship in 2008. ;D Your chuckling would be a lot more credible if he'd come fourteenth, or something. As it was he came second and only lost by one point. I think that's a pretty good call from me.
