The bookmakers love affair with the Shovlarites is well and truly over, they expect Coventry to win tonight by a massive 16 points.

It appears Tommy the Fish is replaced by Stonehewer tonight, with that in mind the Pirates will struggle to keep to the expected 16 point defeat, even with the 'top fiver' leading from the front.

Tomasz Piszcz has a prior engagement with the Birmingham Brummies at the Oak Tree Arena in Somerset tonight, all of which leaves Poole exposed to another humiliating trouncing at the hands of the Bees.

Suits me Sube...gets our averages down a bit more. Let's face it, we're not going to get close to a sniff of a win so at least let's get something out of it.

Obviously the riders don't agree with you Squirlie mate, they have started like trains and are 10-14 up after heat 4, with the 2 oldies Hurry and Stoney, showing the babes Frampton and Wells the way home Well that was short lived the Bees have now taken command 22-20 heat 7

I was about to say that it just shows I actually know zippo about the sport I follow, but am 'pleased' to see the lads aren't letting me down! Seriously though, this is a far better performance, but then trust me, Wednesday was not pretty! ;D

That's what I meant Genghis...they're not letting my prediction down at the moment All hinges on Barney's TR. If we're in it after this expect a fight; if not then capitulation beckons...

And the Pedelbin does win his TR - although let's face he only had the Poo Boy to beat. Could be a battle on for the final point.

Well they tried, deflating the air fence, then breaking the tape and no abandonment, so now it seems a heat advantage will get them a point

Well who'd have thought it... Pedersen wins Heat 15, but Chrissy dawdles around at the back, and the Bees take all three points.

Have to say I'm reasonably happy with that result...as much as you can be with a defeat. We at least restored some dignity, but the failings still shout out loud and clear. Interesting times for Matt ahead before those 12 matches are completed.

Interesting times for Matt ahead before those 12 matches are completed. It seems from reading the updates that Mr Stonehewer is still not seeing much point in completing a race when he is stone last - saw him last season and he was the same. It's a bit of a disgrace, in all honesty.
