But surely with his scoring this season, Bjarne is well on his way is becoming as crap useless overated by Sub completely bollocks erratic as the Weirdity. But he lacks the charm of His Holiness the Weirdity.

League speedway certainly won't be benefiting from any of my money for the forseeable future. The rules are a farce. Hatcham - excuse me, but didn't you tell me that stupid rules did not stop people from going to speedway? No Genghis, i said the tired cliched comment of "i took a newbie to speedway and they said how come Adams is riding for Coventry blah blah blah" did not stop people going because its a load of bollocks, speedway is speedway not football, cricket etc. New supporters take any sport on face value, its us lifelong supporters who hate the stupid rules. I could understand the BSPA and promoters bending over for sky, and saying 'please be gentle' if they were being paid decent money, but their not and the pandering to attempt to ensure every televised event comes down to the last heat, is making me FUCKING FURIOUS............................................. I need a drink.

Can be certain that Bjarne will finish the season in the top 5 averaged riders in the EL, no shadow of a doubt. You offering odds on that Squirlie ? i mentioned on here after Barkers testimonial, Bjarne has lost his zest, no-way will he finish in the top five of the elite averages.

Afraid I don't bet, but you mark my words, he'll be there. Don't be fooled by his slow start to the season. ;D

It was certainly a 'shock' result and, as I was updating the meeting at the time, had to keep checking with Shovlar's sister (allegedly) that the results were correct. She admitted afterward (via text) she was almost in tears sending them Didn't think it warranted about 7 seperate threads on the BSF setting up, most of them banging on about the same thing (average manipulation). Whether they were or not I remember the alleged average manipulation in 2004 at Belle Vue. It was a double header match, and one, if not the penultimate, of the final meetings in the Perrin era, against Ipswich and then Poole. Belle Vue had a relatively comfy win against the Witches and the Pirates just put in zero effort in every race. Even Ronnie Correy had a good meeting against the Pirates that night. If I remember rightly Ryan Sullivan, Antonio Lindback and Bjarne Pedersen were all terrible for the Pirates that night. It was definitely 2004 as we had those crap Kevlars with a really small Ace of Clubs on them and were being sponsored by Li-Lo that season.................and Rory Schlein was riding for us too. Does seem a little odd to want to manipulate averages at home.

I'm not saying the dubious results for Poole started in 2005, they clearly started in 2004, which led to every poor Poole result "early doors" - to use a Tatumism - in 2005 had cries of "average manipulation".

Sub - but you originally stated 2005. Just face it, you got the year wrong. Poole DID lower their averages at Oxford and Belle Vue in 2004 - and both Steve Shovlar and Aaron Lanney said as much two days BEFORE the Oxford match. They were accused in doing the same in 2005 on various forums, but the reality was their 2005 side simply wasn't good enough.

Looking at some of those scores, I'd have to say they seem pretty genuine to me. Ferjan and DD notorious for being cack on small tracks (a fall for Daniel in his first would've screwed with his head away so no real surprise he did nothing afterwards) , Mango always very hit and miss - match winner one week, couldn't be arsed the next and as for Sullivan, he was just a dead loss full stop - always just a hired hand and you never really knew with him whether he was totally committed. The only one who does look low is Bjarne, but without knowing track conditions that night or how he was performing generally it's difficult to tell. Not to say that I'm denying anything untoward took place, as I really don't know, but looking at it objectively and we had a tendency to ride at BV now and then, it's inconclusive I'm afraid.

It was a John Perrin track so it was badly prepared, rutted and from memory it was very heavy as it was a double header meeting. By the time the Pirates had taken to the track it was rather slick. From memory the only thing about it that seemed off was the distances the Aces riders won their heats when we got a 5-1. There were massive gaps (and by massive I mean at times it was almost half a lap) between us and the Poole riders. I'm pretty sure it would have been filmed by Roy Nicol so I'll try and grab hold of a copy.
