The fiasco at Eastbourne a few years ago springs to mind after reading this result...........does anyone remember the alleged race fixing which was vehemently denied by the Poole Promotion, but many fans claimed to have 'overheard' otherwise in the pits prior to the meeting?
Could this be part of a plan to bring back Antonio Lindback?

Could this be part of a plan to bring back Antonio Lindback? I thought that happened at Oxford? And Poole's season will be over by the time they have a chance to accommodate Lindback, unless of course Matt Ford pleads for "special dispensation" and Lindback's average is butchered. He can say it's not in the best interests of British speedway to have such a poor Poole team.

There was indeed an occasion at Oxford when similar allegations were made, but the Eastbourne incident seemed to be much higher profile.........disgraceful tactics if the allegations were correct........and tactics which should incur huge penalties, and possibly bans if proven!!!

Well, I wouldn't believe it. It all just makes Matt Ford look clever every time Poole take a spanking. It's never because they were crap, it's some devious plan cooked up by Matt Ford. But why would anyone think he'd do it at home, with the prospect that the "glory hunters" won't turn up next week? Lukasz Jankowski never looked a clever signing and nor did Carl Stonehewer or Joe Screen. Yes, Screen started well, but our Belle Vue chap has been saying all along he's heard the "turned over a new leaf" story from Screen over the years. Poole are Holder and the Dullard and that's about it. If Holder and the Dullard flop, Poole are exposed to tonkings.

I thought that happened at Oxford? At Oxford & Belle Vue to be precise. And two days before the Cowley defeat, Shovvy advertised what was going to happen on the BSF. But I can't see Poole losing deliberately by that much in a home meeting.

But I can't see Poole losing deliberately by that much in a home meeting. And certainly not against arch-rivals Coventry - this defeat will be a bitter pill for Poole fans to swallow, given their various spats with Coventry types at the BSF.

I sincerely hope I'm wrong too Badger......... Well, I say you're wrong. I'm sorry, but it just strikes me as a "cop out" from accepting that Matt Ford and Middlo aren't the geniuses some people claim them to be. Everyone claimed "average manipulation" in 2005, when the truth was that Poole just weren't that good.

I'm not sure if I love it, though, because I feel sorry for the likes of Rabbit. It's not nice to see your team torn apart at your home track.

Everyone claimed "average manipulation" in 2005, when the truth was that Poole just weren't that good. Wrong year. It was average manipulation in 2004, when Poole had already done enough to top the table prior to the play-offs and then lost by around 35 points at Oxford and by around 40 points at Belle Vue. That team was good enough, it won the league and KOC that year.
