Deepest darkest Wiltshire is the venue for tonights 'clash of the titans' as Britains alternative number 1, and the future GP star go head to head, the bookmakers have Swindon to win by 11, i've lumped on Coventry in the hope that Pavlic continues to disappoint and that Stojanowski really is the waster he appears.
Come on the Bees...

Stojanowski isn't a "waster" per se, it's just that like Rajkowski last season, he isn't good enough for the Elite League. Anyone who has seen Stojanowski would be able to tell you that. I've seen him and he's a useful performer, at the lower level.

And a very comfortable win for the Robins against a sorry-looking Bees team: SWINDON..561..L Adams..3,3,3,2' = 11+12..T McGowan..1,1,3,2' = 7+13..S Stead..1,1,0,2 = 44..J Pavlic..3,3,2,3 = 115..T Batchelor..0,2,3,3,2 = 106..K Stojanowski..2',1',0,0 = 3+27..R Fisher..3,3,2',1',1' = 10+3COVENTRY..391..C Harris..0,2,4,1 = 72..B Barker..2,0,0,1 = 33..O Allen..0,W = 04..E Kennett..2,6,1,2,0 = 115..R Schlein..2,2,3,0,3 = 106..R Wells..1,0,1,0 = 27..J Frampton..0,1,0,1,0,3,1' = 6+1Taken from: speedwayupdates.proboards.comAnd it looks like a bout of "Oliver Allen R/R" could be about to appear - the fragile young fellow withdrawn from the meeting after tumbling in his first heat.

7..R Fisher..3,3,2',1',1' = 10+3See, you should have had the GP Star (Swindon) rather than (Edinburgh) in the fantasy league, then you wouldn't have had to have any Newcastle riders. I'm catching you.

Yes, he does appear to be doing better for the Robins than for the Monarchs - still, Edinburgh versus Newcastle tomorrow, so should be a points fest for the "potential GP star".

I wish someone would remind SCB that he wasn't the first to identify unSteady's shortcomings and that a certain banned Mongol was banging that drum long before he recognised the tune.

Why? Nobody has said he's not a decent enough rider, just laughed at your claim about his potential GP status - which still gets me now. ;D

Looks like he's given you the acknowledgement that your ego deserves, Sub. I think Steady has found his level. He's a decent third heatleader/second string with some good days and other not so good. The hype isn't his fault, but having regularly witnessed his early years at Sheffield I can see exactly where it comes from - because at that level round Owlerton he was awesome. It's an interesting signing for Swindon. I like Steady, and was a bit of a fan of his during his Tigers day. But it also meant Mads couldn't be fitted in. Personally I wish we'd stuck with Mads, but I'm also happy to have Stead in the team as it was something I really wanted a few years back. There's no real pressure on him this year. Taking Pavlic's 3H3A average into account he came in as fourth in the Swindon averages, and at that level he's a very good rider to have there. Only problem I have is we could have had Mads there instead. Who, cfrom what I've read, seems to be continuing the upward spiral he's been on over the last couple of years.
