It's a split decsion for me.
Jon Cook - made valid points about conditions, rider safety etc etc then made himself look a tit by slating the BV promotion claiming they were going for the title whilst we were looking to scrape wins. Cheeky Fecker.
Chris Morton - For insisting that the Aces were up for getting the meeting to the heat 12 cut off only for his Captain to confirm the exact opposite.
And finally both of them for not giving a shit about the paying punters and being more interested in cheap shotting one another.

And finally both of them for not giving a shit about the paying punters and being more interested in cheap shotting one another. And that is rather being lost amid all the twaddle - people coughed over good money and saw nine heats that even the screaming imbecile described as "not pretty". The average, die-hard supporter fucked again.

I was thinking about that today, its about time the sport had a firm policy, meetings last night do nobody any favours, the problem though is achiving something most people will agree with.

I would suggest a simple method where if the meeting is ridden to a conclusion (i.e. Heat 12) then the fans have got what they paid to see. If the meeting is curtailed before this, then monies should be refunded to the away fans, and re-admission tickets issued to the home fans.

I think Jon Cook is only doing his job as promoter, Absolutely!!! Let's not forget the terrible injuries sustained by Adam Shields at Peterborough last season...... Cookie actually prevented the trackside medics from moving Adam, and insisted on paramedics being called, which quite possibly prevented further, even more serious damage to Adam. If that's being an arrogant knob, then I'm sure most riders would be happy to have an arrogant knob as their team manager/promoter!!! I'm sure he had this in mind with his comments about the Kirky Lane track last night, and I'm equally sure that pretty much everyone, including the Belle Vue team would agree with his comments.

Mind you, twelve heats of what was served up last night could be said to constitute torture.

I can't disagree with that, but if the BV promotion knew that if the meeting wasn't concluded they would have to make refunds, then, just maybe, they would have produced a better track than they did prior to the meetings's start.

Not at all Kev, his actions at Peterborough last season were indeed praiseworthy. But his words regarding BV's team last night and those intimated towards Vissing were arrogant. He's still a knob, although maybe a knob who knows his onions when it comes to rider injuries.
