Again this week, the Wasps face an 'in form' team Scunthorpe, who also happen to employ two former Wasps in their ranks and a numerous winner of the Winter Classic in the shape of David Howe. I`m expecting a rather tough battle,I can`t see us claiming all the points from this meeting, though I`m more than happy to be proved wrong. Has anybody seen the Scunthorpe team in action yet to put my mind at rest

No, I don't think so. All of which means you'll be able to give us the "low down" on the Scorpions, subject to alcohol consumption, tomorrow evening. Should be a good meeting - is the "tumbler" back for the Wasps?

If I`m in any reasonable state after the meeting,I`ll post an objective view as normal.............it`s a big if mind

Heavon forfend As if I would ;D Do you think that if I said that the future Grand Prix Fisher was responsible,I`d live long and prosper?

A bit later than I thought it`d be,but here we go,despite an actual lack of passing throughout the meeting,I really enjoyed it. The track is so smooth and fast at the moment that overtaking is nigh on impossible, but the work on the track hasn`t finished yet,so as more shale is put on it,it should lead to a track where you can have a go at overtaking inside and outside in the future. Well, that`s my theory anyway. As for the meeting, yes, the Wasps started off really well,I can`t remember the last time we reeled off three 5-1`s in the opening heats of a match, but the way Scunthorpe came back at us was down to a bit of bad luck for Paul Fry,who blew his engine bigtime while handing Karlsson his arse in ht6 turning a 4-4 into a 2-7. The really funny part about this was Fry didn`t have another engine,so he borrowed one off Nicky Mallett ;Dand run quite a strong last next time out, there was no pace in it ;D Heat 13 also provided the biggest rolling start for the Scunthorpe pair that I`ve seen in quite a few years,I even turned around to my mates and said"that`ll be brought back" only for the ref to let it go,I think Stevie Wonder took over for that start. Still,it`s another win for the Wasps, that`s three on the bounce now,and we`re up against Kings Lynn on Sunday,it should be another good meeting.
