It looks like Josef "Pepe" Franc will be absent, presumed attempting to qualify for the GPs, when Rye House visit the cruel, crazy town on June 6th, 2009. Franc has been selected by the Czechs to race in the Divisiov qualifier: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/04/03/czeskie-nominacje-na-mistrzostwa-swiata/According to Berwick's calendar, the Rye House Rockets are scheduled to be visiting the banks of the Tweed on that date.

Really disappointed if thats the case Sub. If a rider signs for Berwick he has to commit to the Bandits or fuck off to some other place and dont come back, this sort of thing really pisses me off. Its happening all to often in British Speedway, yes i know the money can be better elsewhere etc but if riders want to be somewhere else rather than here let them go and replace them with a rider who wants to put the British scene first.

If Franc wants to chase some kind of crazy GP dream then thats fine by me,if he wants to take himself off to race in a Euorpean Championship jolly then good luck to the fellow. But if its all the same Id rather he didnt screw Berwick around in doing so,Id rather have somebody else thanks.

Interestingly, Adrian's Rymel's name doesn't appear - has he turned over a new leaf now that he's riding in Barbaria?

If Franc was a 10pt plus rider you could put up with him missing meetings to ride in these meetings but sadly he is not and as far as im concerned he is chasing the unreachable dream. Yes Mr Franc ride in these meetings but move over and let someone who wants to commit to Berwick take your team place.

Guglielmo Franchetti will miss your home meeting on May 2nd as he's in a SWC qualifier.

Guglielmo Franchetti will miss your home meeting on May 2nd as he's in a SWC qualifier. Rumour has it that the Bandits are looking at Michal Rajkowski of Edinburgh as a guest for Franchetti, which would make the Bandits quite a bit stronger, given Rajkowski's earlier display at Shielfield Park for the Monarchs. Could be another horrific night for the poor, benighted muck men.
