I was born and bred in Northallerton - Middlesborough was our nearest speedway track (teesside Tigers at that time). I have been back that way since - but only to climb Roseberry Topping - lol !! ;D Wonder what it was all about though.....?

Have you ever been to Middlesbrough Zonkster ? the fight was probably among locals desperate for a seat on a coach leaving town. It does have the appearance of being a horrible, desolate, post-apocalyptic wasteland on a filthy river in the North Yorkshire and the reason for that is that it is a horrible, desolate, post-apocalyptic wasteland on a filthy river in the North Yorkshire.

Did you have to say that.....? I still like to think of it as being in Cleveland....

And the Barbarians come away from the STMP with a point, while the homesters take two: REDCAR..481..G Havelock..3,2',2,3,3 = 13+1 2..R Kessler..2',3,3,1',0 = 9+23..C Stonehewer..2,1',2,2 = 7+14..B Wilson..1',2,1',0 = 4+25..T Proctor..3,3,2,0 = 86..B Compton..2,0,1',2 = 5+17..A Bugeja..0,0,1,1' = 2+1WORKINGTON..421..K Doolan..1,3,3,2,2 = 112..J Hart..0,0,0,2,0 = 23..A Rymel..3,0,3,3,1' = 10+14..C Wright..R/R 5..A Compton..2,1,3,1',3 = 10+16..L Priest..1,0,0 = 17..R Lawson..3,1',2,1',0,0,1 = 8+2Taken from: www.speedwayupdates.proboards103.com

interesting point brought up on the bsf site a bears fan seems to think that it was a tactical move for redcar to get an 8 point lead and then "3-3" there way to all 3 points, seems a bit strange with 7 or 8 heats left and also with doolan and rymel awaiting in ht 15!

Interesting? I'd call it twaddle, to be honest. Especially since they then go on to argue that Proctor would've been more effective in Hts 11 and 13 if he hadn't had the earlier tumble. Fact of the matter is, a lot of times against Workington all you're going to get is 3-3s - letting the "big gun" steam away and pack the minor placings. But aiming for 3-3s and hoping to avoid T/Rs is stupidity itself. Doolan hasn't started the season that well, to be honest. I thought he'd race through the card at Berwick, but he was beaten three times and on one of those occasions finished last.

rymel has started the season better,it wouldnt be a bad thing for the comets if adrian took over the no.1 position as that would mean a guest would be available to cover his jaunts onto the continent!

And friend paulco watches on as his beloved Tigers lose to the Bears at the STMP this evening: REDCAR..541..G Havelock..3,1,3,1' = 8+12..R Kessler..2',3,3,1 = 9+13..C Stonehewer..3,2',1',2',0 = 8+34..B Wilson..2',3,2,3,2 = 12+15..T Proctor..3,3,2,2 = 106..B Compton..0,1,1',1 = 3+17..A Bugeja..1,0,0,3 = 4GLASGOW..411..S Parker..1,0,6,0 = 72..R Brady..R/R 3..P J Larsen..0,0,1 = 14..J Grajczonek..1,4,1',2,0,1 = 9+15..J Grieves..2,0,3,3,3 = 116..M Davey..3,1',2,0,0,0 = 6+17..A Andersen..2',1,2,0,2 = 7+18..A McKinna..0 = 0Taken from: www.speedwayupdates.proboards103.comComfortable for the Bears, who never appeared in any trouble, but another poor performance from Peter Juul Larsen, who just isn't working out for the heathen Tigers.

And the Monarchs make it a notable double for the heathens on their travels tonight as they take the win down in the land of smog and sludge: REDCAR..411..G Havelock..3,2',0,0 = 5+12..R Kessler..1,3,2,2,1 = 93..C Stonehewer..2,2,3,1 = 84..B Wilson..0,1',2',0 = 3+25..T Proctor..3,3,0,3,0 = 96..B Compton..1,1,3,0,1 = 67..A Bugeja..0,1,0 = 1EDINBURGH..471..R Fisher..2,3,0,2 = 72..A Summers..0,0,3,2 = 53..T H Jonasson..3,0,3,3,2' = 11+14..A Tully..0,2,1,2' = 5+15..M Wethers..2,0,1,1' = 4+16..M Rajkowski..3,1,1,2',3,3 = 13+17..S Stoddart..2',0,0 = 2+1Taken from: www.speedwayupdates.proboards103.comIt appears that several Redcar riders lost interest after intensive track work following a heavy rain shower. It seems to have turned Messrs Havelock, Stonehewer and Wilson into a shower.

And the Redcar Bears take a handy lead to Wales for the second leg of their KO Cup tie against the Newport Wasps: REDCAR..521..G Havelock..2,2',1,3,1' = 9+22..R Kessler..0,3,3,0 = 63..C Stonehewer..3,2,3,2,2 = 124..B Wilson..1,1',2',2 = 6+25..T Proctor..3,0,3,2' = 8+16..B Compton..3,3,0,1' = 7+17..A Bugeja..2',1,0,1' = 4+2NEWPORT..381..M Lemon..3,3,2,0,3 = 112..C Kerr..1,0,2,1' = 4+13..J Frampton..2,2,3,3,0 = 104..P Fry..0,1',2',3 = 6+25..B Werner..T,1,1,1 = 36..K Newman..0,0,0,0 = 07..J Holder..1,2,1',0,0 = 4+1Taken from: www.speedwayupdates.proboards103.comCould be close, but I'd expect the Bears to go through to the next round.
