Hampel has been missing meetings long before the play offs last year but he has louis in his pocket and can pick and choose his meetings with no fear of any punishment or loss of his team place thou i doubt he would give a shit if he did . Why does it concern you at Swindon HF, let those with no sin...... and all that. There are poole lakeside fans concern about it ....are you saying you should only comment if it's about your club ?

In fairness, Swindon shunted Tomasz Chrzanowski out of the door - he wasn't welcomed back with open arms the following season.

Any club who signed The Genius should be beyond criticism.

Could King Orange and he who would manage team GB, not have shown Adams the door and offered the job of the Robins number 1 to Britains number 1 ? and what is going on in Wiltshire these days ? are you Australia's British academy team ?

Any club who signed The Genius should be beyond criticism. That must refer to Ipswich and the signing of Tomasz Gollob.

Could King Orange and he who would manage team GB, not have shown Adams the door and offered the job of the Robins number 1 to Britains number 1 ? That's a very poor argument, I have to say. Aside from anything else, the global superstar himself missed an Eastbourne meeting last season because he chose to ride in Poland instead. I think you'd struggle to find an example of Leigh Adams doing the same.

What has that got to do with the subject of a rider missing a meeting and telling a porkie about it ? That what the subject is a about not weather you should have british riders in your side .

I have defended Steve Shovlar in the past, but he's got on my wick with some crass comments about Adam Roynon's accident this morning, namely: "Hmm. Not sure abou that. Who's fault was this latest injury? I thought the spokes were loose on his front wheel causing it to collapse under him? If that's what happened it was his fault." AND: "Rubbish. It's down to the rider to make sure his bike is in the correct working condition. Loose spokes were given as the cause of the crash. Avoidable accident. If the frame had snapped and caused the crash it could be classed as unavoidable. Certainly not meant as a wind up. Riders have a duty to themselves and other riders to make sure their equipment is safe to ride. If it was the spokes, Roynon should sack the mechanic, but it will be classed as his fault for employing the guy in the first place." To see these comments in their full context, go to: www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=47141&st=105I realise SS is just a wind up merchant, but his choice of material in this particular case is ill-advised, crass and stupid.

Saying he's a lovable wind-up merchant is making excuses for him and giving him a licence to post what he likes. He makes these sort of comments because of what he is - a flapperjack!!

Well, still early days and few nominations to mull over. I did carefully consider the merits of an award for Jaroslaw Hampel, but the waters seem muddy regarding how much of the fiasco was down to Hampel and how much was down to Comrade Louis, down at Moscow-on-Orwell. And no one nominated him, so I think I'll leave that. Steve Shovlar seems a worthy nomination, but I'll side with rhidassa and award it to "tigers4ever", for being pompous.
