Does that mean that there are no more Ekstraliga matches? What meetings do they have after that in Poland and when does the Polish season end?

As always we'll be keeping an eye on events and riders outside the Ekstraliga and today we start with Daugavpils versus Gdansk, where the Laguta brothers ride for the home side and the Poole pair of Magnus Zetterstrom (new Swedish champion) and Bjarne Pedersen ride for the visitors:

Okay, so that's the regular season out of the way and we're heading to the play-offs. And they're handled in different ways by the Ekstraliga and Liga I. In the Ekstraliga it's a conventional play-off system, but in Liga I the table is now split, with the top half having a "mini-league" for the medals and the bottom half having a "mini-league" for relegation. The "mini-leagues" are as follows:
1..Bydgoszcz..14..29..+213 2..Gdansk..14..25..+112 3..Ostrow..14..21..+204 4..Poznan..14..17..-12 ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- 5..Rybnik..14..16..+37 6..Daugavpils..14..13..-82 7..Grudziadz..14..12..-101 8..Rawicz..14..00..-371
