Dreadful news, and the season not even started.
My thoughts are with his family at this awful time, and wishing Adam a full and speedy recovery.

It doesn't sound good does it? Awful news, Roynon's never had any luck when it comes to injuries but this is his most important battle yet. Get well soon!

Came across Adam a couple of times towards the end of 2007, when he nearly rode for Oxford in the CL. He came across as a nice young bloke, determined to make it in the world of speedway. My thoughts go out to him and his family at this difficult time - and let's hope for a remarkable recovery along the lines of Ales Dryml and Adam Wrathall.

Can't imagine what Adam's family are going through at the moment. One positive note is that his most serious injury has been diagnosed and he's in the right place getting the right treatment. He's also fit and young and has the strenghth to battle back from this given half a chance - which I truly hope he has.
The human body is an amazing thing and throw up surprises even when people start to think that all may be lost. A colleague of mines young daughter suffered a massive brain haemorrhage 2 weeks ago today, the outlook for her looked very grave for the first few days. Amazingly she was released home from hospital on Wednesday this week and although some areas of her rehabilitation will take longer than others, the medical team who have looked after her seem to think there's no reason why given a bit of time she won't make a full recovery. I hope Adam's situation has a similar happy outcome.

This was posted on the Workington Forum this morning;-
Just listened to CFM news at 11:00.
Ian Thomas interviewed and stated that this morning Adam is still unconscious (induced coma) and on a ventilator. There was no other information as to Adams condition, discussed or mentioned.
Best wishes to the lad for a full and speedy recovery.

I've been there so know what that involves and you can come through a basic severe head injury well. It's the blood clot and the broken bone that are extra injuries you don't need at such a time. Addenbrookes is the best though with medical care and skilled staff second to none. Good luck to the lad.

Phil Morris posted the following on BSF tonight...
A Message from Adam's Family
Firstly they would like to thank everyone for the good wishes that have been sent.
Adams condition is stable at the moment and he is receiving the best possible care, His family are hoping that he will have a good positive recovery ahead.
Please keep the good wishes coming but please try not to speculate or assume anything until it is released officially when the family are ready to do so.
