Here are my short thoughts on the teams:
Belle Vue: Good top two, decent middle order and potential in the reserves; could be a good season for the Grand Old Lady, but Morton isn't the best tactician.
Key Man: Krzysztof Kasprzak
Doubts: "UnSteady Lite" James Wright
Coventry: Look better than last season, although the same top two looked suspect last season and had to be changed.
Key Man: Chris Harris
Doubts: Oliver Allen R/R
Eastbourne: Who knows? It looks rather poor, but could all come together for Bobby D; Watt is solid and there is promise in the Swedes down at reserve.
Key Man: Lewis Bridger
Doubts: The Flopster David Norris
Ipswich: It looks reasonably good down Ipswich way, but they need more from Hampel than they got last season and for Swiderski to at least match last season's heroics - missing out on Darcy Ward will be a big minus.
Key Man: Jaroslaw Hampel
Doubts: Leigh Lanham and the reserves
Lakeside: I think the Hammers look good and more than capable of challenging for honours; Shields and Richardson should be a capable top two, the rest of the main body looks solid enough, but the reserves might be a worry.
Key Man: Lee Richardson
Doubts: Kylmakorpi's fitness and the reserves
Peterborough: The Panthers look more than useful and I would put them down as my favourites for the title.
Key Man: Kenneth Bjerre
Doubts: The weird, wacky Karol Zabik
Poole: No better top two in the league, but the trouble starts once you get beyond the Dullard and Holder; Davidsson in the main body of the team and then there's Screen and Stonehewer. I'm not convinced.
Key Man: Joe Screen
Doubts: Joe Screen
Swindon: An incomparible number one, decent looking middle order, but have they missed an early trick by not having the hugely gifted Jurica Pavlic as a reserve?
Key Man: Troy Batchelor
Doubts: Rather like Sisera the stars in their courses seem to march against Alun Rossiter
Wolverhampton: I nearly always think the Wolves look good on paper and then they turn out to be hopeless on the track; they need Fredrik Lindgren to show more than he did last season if they want to challenge.
Key Man: Tai Woffinden
Doubts: Fredrik Lindgren
