Anything that makes speedway more aesthetically pleasing is fine by me, speedway riders like all men are extremely ugly bastards, lets get some beautiful people involved. To start i suggest Bratters signs up Zonkers and her hot pants. Ha ha ! Not true - there are equally as many good-looking speedway riders as there are ugly ones. Of course there are lots who have badly fallen out of the ugly tree, but footballers in general are far more ugly ! ;D ;D ;D I went to a grass-track meting towards the end of last season and there were loads of girls taking part, many even beating the boys. But these were teenagers....maybe this changes as they get older....?

I dont think it is anything to do with a womans strength. Due to the simple fact that the bike does most of the talking on track. I think its down to the fact that speedway being the dangerous sport it is is seen as a "male sport" this will also mean the number of females getting involved are much lower than males. But im pretty sure there will be a good female rider at some point in my lifetime.

I think you underestimate just how much strength is required in speedway, or indeed in any motor sport. For example, karting is the most physically demanding sport I've ever participated in, and I remember one particular meeting where I lost a kilo in weight. It's far from just sitting in an armchair and driving round, and I'm quite sure speedway requires an even higher level of extertion. I think its down to the fact that speedway being the dangerous sport it is is seen as a "male sport" this will also mean the number of females getting involved are much lower than males. There's no doubt a lack of top female riders is largely down to a general lack of female riders taking up the sport in the first place, but I still think physical attributes are a major barrier.

Wibblemuis. I am aware that alot of strength is needed to race speedway but this isnt a huge amount that a female couldnt attain these strength levels. For a fairly fit person that does reasonable weight training the forces generated while racing are bearable. I think a female team entered into the PL would work P.S LMAO @ the pulling out of a meeting with PMT

Damn, ok thanks Youngy i am determined to remember who it was. I believe it's Jason Bunyan. I remember it being mentioned, or, more likely screamed, during the Isle of Wight's televised fixture last season when they showed a shot of the pits. Damn, ok thanks Youngy i am determined to remember who it was. Which is probably why unSteady's machinery doesn't stack up when he's up against top class opposition. I remember him having a dreadful season in Poland during 2006 and then top-scoring for Torun in the last meeting when he was riding Karol Zabik's bikes.
