Well, so far having Rory Schlein - the "Poo Boy" at No 1 just doesn't seem to be working out for the Bees. So maybe they should re-jig the line up and try having Chris Harris wearing the No 1 and see how that goes? At the end of the day, Coventry allowed the former British champion to leave the club on the basis that in a weakened Elite League one of Harris or Schlein would emerge as a genuine No 1. And that's what Harris and Schlein should be fighting for - the right to be the Bees' No 1 rider. At the minute, neither seems to want to do so. And that's just not good enough.

schlein has to at #1, bomber can't gate for toffee, also this time last year all of bombers bikes were set up, but this year he is still having problems with the set-up. don't know what's wrong with schlein, although i gather there is quite a lot going on outside of speedway that only the priviledged few know about.

If he's having it tough at the moment then fair enough, i'm sure it will come out in the wash..

Chris Harris is a bit disappointing at the moment but it is the start of the season and he could be tesing his bikes. Just hope he gets better soon.

Add to that the fact that he appears to be bottling it on the way into the bends and hence two paid three! If the guy has issues off the track then I sympathize, maybe his folks leaving, him setting up his own place and moving up to number one is proving to be a strain, but young folks tend to be pretty resilient and I'm sure he will bounce back. As for Bomber, it looks like he should have kept the two bikes that he sold to Billy and given Billy the new ones!! Not that BJ is complaining, it's a great start to the season for him personally. I tend to agree that Chris may not seem obvious captain material, always seems a little too laid back to me for a team skipper, but the management know him better than me! I guess If this were Lakeside or Ipswich, then no-one would be batting an eyelid about this start to a season, I guess a team is always going to be judged against it's recent results, and the Bees have just been better than the rest recently. I'm not falling into the depths of despair just yet however, the league season hasn't even started yet after all!

As I've said several times before, it's not even the end of March yet. Coventry will be fine. Once the first set of averages come in, Stead will move to No.1 and the "Poo Boy" to No.5 and then they'll be OK.

What we do know about Rory is that his mum and dad have gone back to Australia, he's moved into a new house, his girlfriend is expecting a baby and being made no1...so like you say beeone he'll probably bounce back ( hopefully)...tonight would be good.. ;D

Are you doing this deliberately Genghis?

He may have a different attitude now, but when Bomber was with Trelawny he refused to ride at No 1.
