Yes the over-sized spring sticking out a bit of plywood can remain in Edinburgh's safe-keeping for life .......i hope . Delighted about this . We see enough of those pesky Monarchs anyway , so if the Spring Trophy is no more then i wont shed many tears . Great start to the season to look forward to ................erm weather permitting .

No Kasprzak for the Aces in this one as he is riding in Billy Hamill's meeting at Wolves.
Still coming down to Kirky Lane for the return meeting Paulco or has the price of a Mancunian pint put you off???

All change again as Kasprzak will now be riding for Belle Vue at Glasgow.
Any idea on how Glasgow will strenghten when they visit us?

Of all the current EL heat leaders there's only really Adams, Bjarne and Bjerre who really go well at Belle Vue. Whoever you plump for it should be an interesting match.

I would imagine , if he's available , the " poo boy " would be a candidate . Would love to see us include Jason Lyons as well , riding for his first club against the club he became a legend at would be brilliant .

I had considered Sandie's best friend but ruled him out on account of his connections with the Monarchs. Hadn't thought about Jason Lyons although he wouldn't be the heat leader you're looking for. I don't see why they don't just put Belle Vue back 15mtrs in every race. We did it in 2000 against Workington. It'll be ironic at Kirky Lane as probably the only rider in your team with experience of Kirky Lane is the one rider who hasn't got much experience round Glasgow. Step forward Mr Peter Juul Larsen.

I'd have thought the "Messiah" would've had Kirkmanshulme Lane experience?

I'd have thought the "Messiah" would've had Kirkmanshulme Lane experience? He has Sub and to be fair to him, judging from his time (albeit a very brief one) with us and as a visiting rider, he's usually shite round Belle Vue. Although on reflection that's not a fair comment so just ignore the fair bit.

Word on the grapevine is that the Grand Monarch will have a "Grand Tiger" assisting him in the box for this meeting - the Aces don't stand a chance.
