You beat me to it Wacks, and genghis, the supermarket's are only closed for ONE day In which case, there's even less excuse for people to buy enough bloody food for four months. And who in their right minds would food shop at bloody Sainsbury's on Boxing Day - it's a public holiday, for goodness sake, not a day to do crappy, horrible, vile food shopping.

I'm assuming it's the non-Christian families, who shouldn't have their right's taken away , anyway hope nobody goes in shopping, then perhaps they will go back to allowing people to have some bloody holiday time It's been manic in Tesco's since last week, and I'm dreading the next 3 days, Mon,Tues and Wednesday , especially since they have not employed any temps this year

What's the problem with people buying food for four days? When I go to the supermarket I always buy food for the whole week - it's my weekly shop. Do I understand that genghis goes every day to buy that or the next day's food and thus goes shopping every day? That's female behaviour, young genghis. I suggest therapy. And not retail therapy either.

But what some people are doing at the moment is buying enough food for several months , just because the shops are closed for Christmas Day.

That little (not-so-little) lot should see me well into the New Year - I told you I'd been stockpiling while the potatoes were good. Schumi, I bet there weren't any small cauliflower green things. Small cabbage things. And no there weren't.

Just out of interest, what does Christmas Dinner comprise of in a Mongol household? Certainly no small cabbages, and does the turkey get substituted with fish?

Turkey, chips and peas, since you asked. Not Uuz or Chanasan Makh? A very domesticated Mongol indeed, enjoy the sprouts
