MONDAY TEAM NEWS - BUILDBASE BEES v POOLE - 7.30pm START COVENTRY Buildbase Bees go into a vital week of Elite League action with a crunch clash against second-placed Poole at Brandon on Monday. Bees expect to be at full strength after Scott Nicholls' fine fourth place in the Czech Grand Prix - despite his recent bout of food poisoning - whilst the Pirates bring in Hans Andersen to replace Jason Crump, who is having an operation on a broken knee-cap. A reminder that the meeting starts at the earlier time of 7.30pm, and admission for children under 11 is free. BUILDBASE BEES: Scott Nicholls, Olly Allen, Rory Schlein, Steve Johnston, Chris Harris, Billy Janniro, Martin Smolinski. POOLE: Hans Andersen, Troy Batchelor, Bjarne Pedersen, Edward Kennett, Craig Boyce, Piotr Swist, Jason Doyle. The mighty Hans is in for Crumpy, and will no doubt get his usual reception at Coventry ....It'll be a cracker thats for sure, with Troy back from injury too...and we're on Sky again

I think Poole might sneak an away win here, particularly if Piotr Swist can get among the points.

I actually think we will sneak a home win . I've just been thinking, I thought the "golem" Swales had told his riders not to guest for other teams , maybe Hans is starting his job hunting early eh?

But you'll be giving little cheers for Piotr Swist who has the unmistakable air of weirdness around him. I rather think I shall deign to watch this meeting on the television - it should be better than the usual dross the EL serves up to the watching public (unless, of course, the Pratt Colin puts in an appearance).

Sub, you are funny ... Swist didn't score a point when they were here a few weeks ago, I suppose that was an off night. In fact it was an off night for a few of 'em I recall? I don't expect it will be like that tonight though ...I had to fill the programme in as Cousteau was away aswell (pain in the arse that is).

Here's hoping it's an entertaining meeting. I don't give a toss who wins as long as there is some overtaking, hopefully some team riding and a few quirky interviews. It will probably be the usual boring from the gate rubbish that Sky seem to attract and the usual inane questions from Sophie whatsit in the pits. Bring back Sara.

I have two niggles, if I may: Billy Janniro, who didn't have to run Doyle so close to the fence, and some of the crowd booing Hans before the meeting. Now, I appreciate the Nicholls/Andersen rivalry thing, but Nicholls looks to be in no danger of Andersen having him off if he keeps riding like he did in his first heat.

Even worse was the audible cheer when Doyle fell. Shocking track conditions at Brandon, especially the 3rd-4th turns making for another dreary Elite League encounter.

Didn't see it, dear lady. I'd already given up watching it. I persevered until heat 14, just to see if the rider people love to hate would be prepared to go off 15 metres for a team he doesn't belong to. He did, doubt he'll get any recogniton for it. They will still hate him.

I was flicking back & forth by this point but did turn it back just to see Andersen put on the black & white helmet cover and although I can't stand the bloke but he did get recognition for his efforts in this household. I even commented that you wouldn't get Adams or when he rode for us Hancock taking a golden tactical ride for their own clubs let alone one they are guesting for. So well done to the bloke, top effort on his part, shame Kennett didn't know how to play the game though. Still don't like him though.

Yes, I'd be saying words to that effect if I'd coughed over hard-earned to watch that, although it may have seemed better from trackside.
