Seconded FP, but for different reasons.

He's clearly extemely illiterate.....doesn't make him a flapperjack though..... In fact, I agree with his views. I have been told lots of stories recently which would make me inclined to agree with his post!

Kyle makes a good point, though. Kyle is a rider with a professional approach, so it must annoy him when he sees other riders behaving in a manner not befitting a professional sportsman. Of course, Wacks doesn't like him because he didn't he a great affection for Reading, but I'm afraid that was the fault of the BSI bloke for putting Kyle out of a job at the start of the 2006 season. It's always been a bit of a comedown for Oxford riders to end up at Reading - no wonder the Racers couldn't get the best out of Chris Mills (great chap) and Mark Lemon.

ooops, sorry Genghis read your post earlier. Heard the same old stuff so many times from you before, Mills, Lemon good riders/poor management, Hughes professional blah blah blah it was like a good old bedtime story & sent me to sleep. Tell you what, you supply a list of Ex-Oxford riders and I'll know who not to comment on in future. Maybe we could start a "Mary Poppins award of the week" as Ex-Cheetah's/Shite Machine riders are obviously perfect in every single way

Could I pick the winner of the first "Mary Poppins" award. BTW it's not necessarily ALL ex-Oxford riders. For instance, Rosco rode for us and you can say what you like about him.

Vintage wacks ;D ;D shite machine classic Would this be the same.. ahem.. "Shite Machine" who finished above the Swindon Budgies in the 2004 Elite League and then beat the Budgies on the way on the 2005 Craven Shield. If we were "shite", you were worse than us, so what were you?? Mind you, at least the racing at Blunsdon is half-decent half the time, unlike at the rubbish dump, where the most memorable moment wasn't the racing but when the lightswent out. ;D ;D

After being back online after a few days away I've just read the thread on BSF about Somerset and their problems between the landlord and promoter.
Irrespective of what is actually going on there between them two, I think a nomination for the Rebels Sponsor MarkSharp is well worthy.

It's a shame you felt the racing at Smallmead wasn't up to much Genghis, that's not an opinion shared by many visiting fans this season at least. Swindon's track was ruined by Meredith, didn't he have a hand in at Cowley too? Can't say he ruined that though, it became one of the best Moto-X circuits South of Birmingham.

It was only really MotoX for one season Wacks - in 2003. That season we went from all the visiting riders loving Oxford to hating it, whilst OSM riders such as Charlie and Trav who absolutely loved it. As a consequence the EL only lost once at home all season, whilst nobody got within 10 points of the CL OSMA team (Ricky Scarboro loved having a MotoX home circuit ). Probably the only season in Oxford's history when we had a huge home track advantage. Next season Waggy decided to flatten out the track and we started losing at home again. And yes we reached the 1990 Gold Cup Final thanks to that power cut.

If you ever took those rose-tinted glasses off you would realise that the Oxo track was a Moto-X track for more than just that one season you've implied. By the way, Mark Lemon is not a nice bloke - he's a complete mercenary. But of course everything Oxford is just great.

OK, apart from 2003 and the opening part of 2004, in which other seasons did Oxford resemble a MotoX track. And before you mention Good Friday in 2006, that was because the meeting was almost rained off and therefore the track was bound to be somewhat heavy. Come on then, I await your reply with interest.
