BSPA:
THOMAS H Jonasson has turned down the chance of a late season return to Edinburgh.
Monarchs wanted the Swede to cover for the injured Andrew Tully but he cannot cope with such a busy schedule at this stage.
Edinburgh spokesman Mike Hunter said: “Thomas’ position is well known, after the sad loss of his father he cannot cope with riding in three different leagues plus individual competitions.”

An expected move by Edinburgh, although I can't for the life of me understand the motive. After all, there can't be much difference between R/R for Tully and R/R for Jonasson.

Possible new signing in the offing? Is Kevin Wölbert the new man?

It's certainly looking that way. He wasn't my favoured choice of the options they were looking at, but hopefully he'll settle in quickly. His home track in Germany isn't one of the big ones, so he might not be too unhappy with the Dale (although the tight turns might still not be to his liking).

I doubt Denis or Pepe the Pish would have been interested. No need for that. Gizatulin might've been interested, but there seems to be a world of difference between him being interested and him actually showing up and racing. Just ask the old funhog down at Arlington.

I doubt Denis or Pepe the Pish would have been interested. I'm sure PePe would love to come and race at the wonderful Armadale, but as we all know, he is far, far too good to be allowed into the Premier League. Similarly, Denis would probably be quite happy to have a spell racing in the UK, but I'm sure Edinburgh couldn't come close to the financing required. Gizatulin might've been interested, but there seems to be a world of difference between him being interested and him actually showing up and racing. Just ask the old funhog down at Arlington. I know it's a bit off topic in here, but I thought he was going to come over mid-season this year after he finally passed his English language requirements. I don't remember seeing any explanation for him never coming over...Did Eastbourne just not need him/want him after their good start to the season? Anyways...safe to say that neither of those two were the man that I was referring to I'm looking forward to seeing how Kevin settles in to our track, though...if he ever leaves the rain back in Germany!

far too good to be allowed into the Premier League On Tuesdays evidence he would struggle in PL.
