Coventry owner Avtar Sandhu and his promoter Colin Pratt have fired a broadside at BSI over the cancellation of Coventry's visit to Smallmead on Monday: www.coventrymotorspeedway.com/I'm fully in accord with Sandhu's statement. BSI must be heavily fined for this shocking display of unprofessionalism. And if I were in charge of the BSPA, the Bulldogs would forfeit the meeting 75-15.

I'm absolutely furious about this. It seems that people are swiping at the Coventry fans because they think we are fed up at losing out on the likely win, but this is NOT the issue here and people are just not getting it!!How the hell can people defend this behaviour on the bsf is beyond me. Whats the excuse again ..? Oh yes..." The advanced stages of the takeover" unbelievable and people have swallowed this bollocks, Companies /Businesses go through takeovers and buy outs all the time, do they stop trading whilst it happens NO!!They have shown nothing but contempt for their own fans and to the Coventry Promotion and fans...I said on the bsf that there should be a forfeiture of this meeting .I also agree with you Sub they should also be fined...It's just opened the flood gates for other promotions to take the piss...no wonder Speedway is in such a mess.

Easier to cast around and blame Coventry (and, incidentally, a Swindon supporter has felt their wrath as well), rather than accept they've been hoodwinked by Postlethwaite.

If they really believe that the takeover is the real reason for the postponement of this meeting, then you've found yourself even more terminally deluded mortals.......You don't need a huge amount of intelligence to work it out for fuck's sake. They couldn't field a full Team.....END OF
It's great to able to come and rant on here Sub ;D
Edit:
Come on jacques, you know we don't mind a bit of language on here.

Has any sanction been applied yet regarding the Ipswich fixture, where BSI used an illegal guest (who should've been legally guesting for the Witches)? I notice the latest query on the BSF is whether Greg Hancock is still a Coventry asset. I wonder what they're suggesting?

I'd forgotten about the guest switch situation , is it me ,or are people rolling over in submission with the reading promotion?? Yes, I saw the comment on Hancock......I thought it was just a bit of shit stirring to be honest, to get the sniping going again.......
and that was very naughty modifying my post like that!

Have you seen the updated statement from Sandhu on the bsf then?? Way to go Sandhu ;D COVENTRY owner Avtar Sandhu says that Colin Pratt and various Buildbase Bees riders will still be going to Reading for Monday's Elite League fixture - which was postponed by the Bulldogs' current management on Saturday. Sandhu said: "I cannot express strongly enough how disgusted I am with this situation. It makes a complete mockery of the sport, and I have spoken to Jim Lynch at Reading to tell him my feelings. "They might be going through a takeover, but since when does that give anyone a reason to call off a match? Would we see a football club calling off a fixture because of negotiations to change their ownership? It just would not happen. "We have riders who had already made their plans to fly in from Poland and other parts of Europe for this meeting and now we're being told it's off - with Greg Hancock not coming back from America! "I am absolutely appalled by what is going on, and we will be taking the matter up with the BSPA on Monday. We have already had the situation with Oxford, which has cost ourselves and other clubs several points, and now this happens. "In the meantime, I have instructed Colin Pratt and some of the riders to go to Reading. We are ready to race this meeting, and do not accept the reason for the postponement." Surely you didn't doubt the word of a Mongol, did you? I've made a few statements on the BSF today in support of Coventry and Sandhu's position. It really gets to a lot of people around there that Sandhu can buy and sell the likes of Postlethwaite with his loose change. A top man and hasn't let the BSPA push him around - they tried and they failed, whereas they've bent over backwards for Postlethwaite. And where's that got them?

Certainly feel sorry for the Racers fans. But as for those who bought into the whole BSI Bulldogs thing: they that troubleth their own house shall inherit the wind and the fool shall be the servant of the wise at heart.

However, one hopes he doesn't tire of the pathetic shambles that's British speedway and pull the plug on Coventry.
