Will Hans Andersen remain a Bee in 2009, will he return to Peterborough in 2009, or will he be giving British speedway a wide berth in 2009? His comments in this week's Speedway Star seem to suggest the latter:
"Nicki winning [the world championship] this year without riding in England just shows you don't need it. Of course I've been thankful for being employed in England, but due to a lot of problems I had there this season, I'm definitely wondering whether it's worth going back, or maybe have a year out and see how it is not riding in England. I'd turn up more fresh and more keen. I can't really make a final decision, they might suddenly see some sense and change the format of the league, do less meetings because not riding on a set night makes it so difficult for everyone. Like I've said, I'm thankful for riding in England in my young years, it was good, but these days, riding at the top level, doing so many GPs as we do, it's hard to find the energy to do everything. If you were to do England, you'd have to drop another league."
