I did PM him actually, so if you can get Cheezy to post about him, maybe he'll log on and see it. Mind you, the message was nothing to do with Jesper.

I wouldn't read to much into it, it's the usual how do you make nothing sound interesting for 3 or 4 months. Unless we leave out Bjerre because of his GP exploits and possibly trying to do more available Fridays, I can't see that there's much to tell: Here's the next piece of the jigsaw (from Panthers website) Wednesday 26 November 2008 Peterborough Speedway has confirmed that Claus Vissing, who recently became a full club asset following a five figure transfer fee, will again line up for the Panthers in 2009. He very quickly become an instant favourite with the Peterborough supporters during 2008, not only for his all action never say die attitude, but for his wit and personality at the after match press conferences. Claus Vissing said on rejoining Peterborough: “I’m very happy to be back and it is great to have things sorted out so quickly. I heard there was some interest in me from one or two other clubs, but I never wanted to ride anywhere else other than Peterborough. It is a really good club in my eyes and it is the perfect place for me to be. I love the club, the track is great and the fans are absolutely brilliant. To start with things were tough last season and I started wondering what I had let myself in for, but once Rick Frost came in as owner it became a great place to be. We really finished on a high by winning the relegation race-off and putting together a lot of home wins when we beat all of the top teams, so hopefully we can build on that. I really want to be part of a team that can make the play-offs and challenge for the title.” Team Manager Trevor Swales said: “I am delighted that we have been able to agree terms with Claus for the 2009 season. I see him as a vital part of our squad to hopefully help us climb back to the heights that we reached in 2006. Claus is the first new asset that new boss Rick Frost invested in to take the club forward after a disappointing 2008 and I am sure that we are the envy of many clubs to have Claus on our retained list. Claus should go forwards in his 2nd year in the Elite League having now ridden all the tracks, this should help him to lift his average from the 4.5 point that he attained in his amazing 1st season in the big boys league. Claus is a brilliant young man to work with, and one thing is for sure that he will give 120% every single race. He fits into the team very well and is a firm fans favourite with his all action style.” It’s likely that Claus will start of in one of the two reserve berths and the club are convinced he is again likely to play a big part in the opening months of the season from that position, as he did this year. Claus started off 2008 on a 3.00 GS average and by the end of the season had improved that to 4.47, despite spending over half the year in the main body of the team, he richly deserved the accolades he received at the clubs end of season awards and picked up 3 awards including, most improved rider, management rider of the year as well as the 100 club rider of the year. It’s easy to forget that Claus will be starting only his second full season in this country having spent just 5 months at Stoke in 2007 prior to joining the Panthers and despite not having much racing experience compared to a lot of his rivals. Promoter Mick Bratley said: “I am delighted Claus will be with us in '09. His '08 season was exceptional, in my opinion, and I now expect him to make good use of the knowledge of EL away tracks he has gained by "kicking on" his career accordingly in '09. He is a firm favourite with our supporters and I know they will be pleased with this signing”. Club Owner Rick Frost said: “Having acquired Claus as an asset of Peterborough Speedway since my takeover of the club I am pleased to confirm that Claus has signed a contract to ride for the 2009 Readypower Panthers team. He is a talented young rider who is steadily improving and I’m sure will do well for us next year”.

Yeah, you've got to feel sorry for Danny. He's a great rider, and has been so loyal to the Panthers. A really nice guy too. Would love to see him back if we can fit him in the team. Now there's def no Hans, who knows.....? Strange he's not been contacted at all though. MAybe they are just waiting to see whether he can be fitted in or not...

Well why doesn't the prat pick up the fucking phone then? So he doesn't proactively seek to secure a perminant ride for 2009! Pathetic!!

It's one of those great Peterbororough press releases. It keeps us in the local paper but doesn't really say anything.
