Even if they were party to what's going on, it can always change until the very last minute. That said, Vissing and Zabik were confirmed anyway, weren't they?

Zabik certainly and Vissing almost certainly (well perhaps slightly more than that) and you'd expect King, even though Ippo own him, because of the Frost connection and Ippo probably wanting Swidders? Bjerre would be well up on the list but not a certainty in my book although that means he'll be nailed on!

just seen this a suggestion on Panthers forum:
1 Bjerre 2 Bager 3 Andersen 4 Zabik 5 King 6 AN Other 7 Vissing
Looks to have many of the problems of last year. Titles are won on the road (especially if the bonus is reinstated) and that team would worry me. If Andersen is in the side (which I seriously doubt) then he has to be at 1 as was proved/decided at the start of 2007 when Iversen was put at 1.

He probably had a word with Thomas the dog or zonkers favourite little white yapping thing which looks slightly brighter than the owner (of the dog, just to clarify and prevent any misunderstanding!).

A post disappeared, talk about touchy Uh...? Explain !! Sure, it's nothing to get excited about. If you see the post about Bjerre's comments in the SS, I said something along the lines of working that out on my own without the need to see the SS so why buy it (which I never do.) The post disappeared?. I'm fairly sure I posted that reply and bingo it's not there. I apologise if I ****** up with the technology.

[glow=red,2,300] Panthers closing in on three signings [/glow] Peterborough Speedway have been getting on with formulating next years team since the completion of the BSPA Conference, and are very close to signing three riders who the management are very confident will delight their supporters and show they mean business for a very different season in 2009. Planning next years team has been going on since before the end of this years campaign in the background and the club have had several permutations in mind, but clearly the points limit dictates any early decisions and the club wanted and supported the proposed 2009 figure of 39.90, and they now feel they can put together a very good team to that limit. Mick Bratley commented on the AGM after travelling directly from Miami to Spain to meet with fellow promoters: “I was absolutely shattered before the conference and I wasn’t much better afterwards! However, I do believe it was a very positive three days and there were some very good points to come out of it. The mood of the room was so much better than last year, I wouldn’t go as far as saying I felt a lot of love in the room, but I certainly felt the respect!!! I’m excited about changes to the league points scoring system and overjoyed that we have at last got the play off format changed, incidentally, to a format that I put forward. I know the play off’s are not everyone’s cup of tea, but they are here to stay and at last we will be able to at least make good use of them and create more excitement, in my opinion. I have to laugh that supporters thought we spent three days on the beach, I think I saw about an hour of blue sky and sun during the whole three days!” With much speculation currently doing the rounds on the National and local forums, no clues are being given as to the identity of these three riders, but the Peterborough management are confident that they will be in a position to name possibly all three by next week. Currently only Karol Zabik is a confirmed starter, but that looks set to change with Club Owner Rick Frost keen to name his entire team early in readiness for next year and certainly before the end of 2008. Mick Bratley also said: “It’s coming together nicely, three further riders we wanted, are very close to signing, I can’t think that any supporter will be disappointed by them. Hopefully we will have more news in a few days. The permutations are reducing and we know which way we want to go, I am hopeful we will have everyone signed and sealed before Christmas and if we get all of who we want, our supporters will definitely enjoy the festive period! We will also be sitting down very soon to discuss season tickets and I expect further information on this will be available early December”. www.peterboroughspeedway.net/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=297
