It looks like the re-arrangement of the German Grand Prix will have a knock on effect for the Craven Shield final, with the following posted on the Coventry website:
Coventry Speedway will issue a fixture update on Monday following talks with Lakeside regarding the Craven Shield Final. The home leg, scheduled for Friday October 17, will need to be re-arranged due to the postponement of the German Grand Prix on Saturday. That meeting is now set to take place next Saturday at Bydgoszcz, meaning several riders would be unavailable for the match between the Buildbase Bees and the Hammers.
All of which just shows the standing British speedway has in the great scheme of things. When it was realised that Saturday would be a problem the possibility of the Grand Prix being run on Sunday was raised and dismissed due to Polish fixtures. But obviously British fixtures aren't as important.

The first leg is tomorrow. Any probable line-ups? It looks like Lakeside will be lining up as follows:- 1. Andreas Jonsson 2. Leigh Lanham 3. Rider Replacement for Adam Shields, 4. Jonas Davidsson, 5. Tomasz Jedrzejak 6. Ricky Kling 7. Chris Mills Not sure why Krzysztof Jablonski isn't in the team...............edited to say he has a hand injury, but should be OK for the second leg at Brandon.

Are the Bees ready to take on the Hammers now, could it not be put back to next season as Lakeside still have one or two riders still fit A good point, well made. It's amazing the speed with which Coventry were able to re-arrange their KO Cup tie with Poole and yet the Craven Shield, intended to be a season-opener has dragged on into October. It's nothing short of disgraceful on the part of the Bees. But the Bees have been a shambles ever since Trump took the helm.
