Dont understand why you would rather go to West Ham without Jarek, than Poole with him. Well an hour and a half down the A14 rather than countless hours leaving at midday and returning in the middle of the night, with work both days, probably has a lot to do with it quite frankly. Another point from the promoters point of view was for crowd numbers last night I expect....not sure really, I know JL was stunned that Jarek has a ban TBH. Yes but if Ipswich had won at West Ham, which is surely what they hoped for, they would have ended up travelling to Dorset or Wiltshire anyway, also without Hampel. The decision makes no sense whatsoever

Cry baby Louis chucking his toys out again I see.
It's entirely his fault that Hampel has a ban, no Guest, no ban...simple!
And we must stick to the letter of the rules musn't we Mr Louis??!!

Ironically, it looks like he could have missed Monday's meeting after all. Jarek's reportedly been involved in a car accident on his way to Rzeszow and is in hospital with unconfirmed damage to his foot: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2008/09/26/jaroslaw-hampel-w-szpitalu/Luckily it's said he has no broken bones or serious injuries.

If I understand this correctly, Hampel is banned for riding for Leszno instead of Ipswich? That sounds mighty ridiculous.

For anyone who doesn't really follow the Polish leagues, Hampel did ride for Leszno last night, so is suffering no ill effects from his accident.

If I understand this correctly, Hampel is banned for riding for Leszno instead of Ipswich? That sounds mighty ridiculous. No, he has been banned from riding in the United Kingdom for 28 days. And events in the last week or so have revealed that both he and Ipswich have actually been harshly dealt with, since Cameron Woodward will miss this weekend's meeting between Eastbourne and Wolverhampton to ride in Poland sans sanction. And the same goes for the global superstar. I agreed completely with the sanctions imposed on Hampel and Ipswich, but to have those sanctions shown to be ridiculous a few weeks later just shows the descent into degradation and despair that British speedway is currently on.
