It seems like missing the ELRC was a step too far to the BSPA, who have handed Matej Zagar a 28-day ban: www.readingspeedway.com/news.php?extend.830I don't disagree with the ban, but I do diagree with it being handed down for missing the ELRC to ride in a crucial play-off meeting in Poland. The ELRC is a nothing meeting.

Perhaps the ELRC has become a nothing meeting precisely because the likes of Zagar take the piss? He's frankly had it coming for a while, and should be shown the door for next season.

There's no perhaps about it - it's definately the reason the ELRC has been degraded!!!

Anyway, how effective will this punishment be? Will it bother Zagar, or will he see it as a bit of a relief? I'd hope it will bother him - he's doing sweet fuck all in the GPs and he's hardly setting the Ekstraliga alight, as his 2+2 score today illustrates. Zagar's a talented guy, but talent only takes you so far down the line to greatness. You need to have the right attitude as well and that's where Zagar falls down. At the minute, I see Zagar treading the same road to destruction as that other princeling of the sport Lindback.
