Another brownie point for Wellie & Mark scored last night when Wellie announced he had spoken earlier and arranged a visit over to Reading for Racers legend Per Jonsson.
Per is set to visit Smallmead on Monday 19th September to help celebrate the fact that his longest standing track record in the UK will near it's 20th anniversary (god I hope none of those pesky Robins beat it on Friday).
It might not mean much to some fans, but for those of us who have been around Smallmead a while this is fantastic news and I know it will bring one or two more reclusive Racers fans out of their hiding holes - if only for the evening.
You really can't fault Wellie & Mark for the effort they are putting in at the moment at Smallmead. You can tell from their faces and Wellies knack of always bluntly stating the truth ;D that it has been and still is hard work for them picking up the pieces at Reading but from the responses they are getting from the fans I hope they see it is appreciated.
A further nice piece of history is that Wellie was Per's team mate in the race where he smashed the track record all those years ago (the result was 3-3 though) ;D

A fine gesture from the new promotion at Reading, who are showing a sympathy towards the history and tradition of the Racers that was sadly lacking in with BSI.

Wacks who does your website? The link for Wolves goes back to the Racers' own site, or it that just positive promotion?
