From Swindon's website:
JURICA Pavlic has signed to ride for the Swindon Robins in 2009.
Prior to the meeting against Wolverhampton Jurica Pavlic signed a contract for the 2009 season on the Abbey stadium centre green.
His signature for the 2009 campaign follows an absolutely outstanding stint for Swindon since making his Robins' debut on August 4th.
In just seven meetings for Swindon, Pavlic has mustered an incredible paid 94 points.
Team manager Alun Rossiter was delighted by the signing:
'It was always the aim of the club to ensure that Jurica returned for a full season in 2009. We are all delighted that Jurica has decided Swindon is the right club for him to fully launch his British career.
Jurica's inclusion in the 2009 squad is very exciting for Swindon Speedway. During his short time with the club he has shown remarkable talent, flair, speed and skill. The supporters are in for a real treat next year as Jurica continues to improve as a rider, I think he can go a long way in speedway.'

Ahh well, looks like I won't have rush around to see him this year.
His work this Summer has somewhat reawaken my brother's interest in the sport. I told him that there was a Croat youngster who was humbling top riders, it just seem to have some sort of attraction.

And Leigh is on a 2 year deal - so in theory he'll be back too - plus its the last year in the Abbey (allegedly)

From speedwayworld
SWINDON are chasing the permanent signature of Troy Batchelor after an impressive first season in Robins colours. Batchelor is an asset of Premier League club King's Lynn and moved into the Elite League with Poole last year after a season as No.8 at Coventry. It was expected that he would be retained by the Pirates, but he sought a team place at Blunsdon when there was none available at Wimborne Road, and the club have been delighted with his scoring. Swindon already have skipper Leigh Adams tied up for 2009 as well as Croatian youngster Jurica Pavlic, and co-promoter Gary Patchett has confirmed they want to add Batchelor to that list - although the points limit for next year has yet to be decided. Patchett said: "Pavlic is a phenomenal talent and we are delighted to have signed him for 2009, we would also like to make Troy a Swindon asset and we are moving in that direction. "These two qualified for the world under 21 finals with maximums in their semi-finals and, leaving Chris Holder out, it would be fair to say we have the best two under 21s in the world. "Obviously we are looking at the short term but we have an eye on the future and part of our strength is going to be us building so that we know we have the best young riders around." Pavlic will move into the second heat-leader position for the Robins for the remainder of the season after an astonishing opening to his Elite League career.
