And the ELRC has been postponed and will be re-staged at a later date...probably at Swindon. TR trying really hard to get some silverware methinks , these should be on neutral tracks surely

I should point out that was just my little joke - everything postponed seems to end up at Swindon, eventually.

This meeting was past it's sell-by date years ago . Why is it still on the calender , and if it has to be persevered with - why run it during the GP season . Hyde Road on a Saturday in October is a long , long , long time ago .

I received the call about 6pm asking me if I wanted to go. I told the person on the other end not to bothered, 5 pull-outs within a day and it's drizzling. Any bit of drizzle was bound to make sure it was called with these EL pussycats.
I shall be at PB however for the fixture on Sunday.

Only five more days until this meeting, and Leigh Lanham will be Lakeside's representative after Adam's injury. Does anyone know of any further changes which I haven't spotted?

Only five more days until this meeting, and Leigh Lanham will be Lakeside's representative after Adam's injury. Does anyone know of any further changes which I haven't spotted? The Speedway Star has the following line-up in this week's edition: 1..C Holder..(Poole) 2..J Crump..(Belle Vue) 3..F Lindgren..(Wolverhampton) 4..L Adams..(Swindon) 5..C Harris..(Coventry) 6..E Kennett..(Eastbourne) 7..P Swiderski..(Ipswich) 8..K Bjerre..(Peterborough) 9..C Gjedde..(Belle Vue) 10..J Pavlic..(Swindon) 11..L Lanham..(Lakeside) 12..B Pedersen..(Poole) 13..D King..(Peterborough) 14..R Schlein..(Ipswich) 15..H Andersen..(Coventry) 16..N-K Iversen..(Wolverhampton) So, although the Speedway Star states that "no less than seven Grand Prix stars will do battle in the Elite League Riders Championship", two notable GPers - Andreas Jonsson and the global superstar - appear to be missing, presumed uninterested.

One of the absentees will be working flat out on his GP survival plan for the German GP and I'm not talking about the Swedish chap

Hans Andersen has pulled out injured. Replaced by the Joke, by the looks of things. But no, he's replacing Harris. Bridger replaced Andersen. So, the much-vaunted seven GPers was reduced to five. But I dare say both Harris and Andersen will ride on Saturday.

Crump takes the title, despite not finishing in the top two after 20 heats, i am totally against the stupid system of semi's and final's, but as i had a huge bet on Jason tonight, i am willing to overlook it just this once.
