It appears that, after his own no-show at Foxhall Heath, Zdenek Simota is once again at odds with the BSI management. Simota won't be at Wolverhampton on Monday after deciding there's insufficient time for him to get from Italy (where he's riding for the Czech Republic on Sunday afternoon) to Wolverhampton. The BSI management are seeking "urgent talks" with their errant Czech youngster: www.speedwayworld.tv/en/news/a7939Of course, now that BSI are no longer the commercial rights holders for the GPs, their status has diminished, witness the contempt with which Unia Tarnow treated BSI over Janusz Kolodziej. That would've been unthinkable while BSI held the whiphand.

Yes, it sounds like, regardless of what Philip Rising says, there were payment issues with the BSI Bulldogs. I wonder if we'll be seeing the smug, grinning, self-satisfied, self-appointed saviour of speedway John Postlethwaite giving his traditional British GP interview to Sky. I suspect not. You have to hope that the new broom at Smallmead have an awful lot of money to lose, since by all accounts, they're going to need to have.
