The quote I read from Mr Cook says that Nemo replaces Millsy as Millsy had bookings that possibly clashed Clashed with what exactly? The injury that will occur to which reserve in the near future oh clairvoyant one?? Obvious I would have thought - look up the fixtures for both Reading and Lakeside. As things stand at present, there are three DEFINITE dates when, even if Millsy was needed by Lakeside, he couldn't ride as he'd be riding for Reading.

Lakeside have signed Kauko Nieminen as their new number 8. Announced tonight. So let's dump the young British No. 8 and bring in a bloody foreigner. I await Kev H's defence of this appalling decision with interest. Hardly needs defending does it Genghis...........young Kauko is a class act and will make a more than adequate replacement for Chris, who lets be honest, isn't enjoying the best form of his life.

Hammers' press release (snippet):
Jon Cook stated: “With the August averages coming into use at the end of this week it was an ideal time to make this change. Our reserves Ricky Kling and Lubos Tomicek have increased their averages and that has allowed me to bring in Kauko Nieminen, who is established as a leading rider in the Premier League. I would personally like to thank Ian Thomas of Workington for all his help in making this signing possible. I decided to introduce Kauko as our new No.8 as Chris Mills, who had held that position since the start of the season, would have been unable to cover on some dates where we may have possibly needed him. In bringing in Kauko I would like to thank Chris for his efforts for the Club and, as a local Essex lad, I would welcome the opportunity of having him back involved with us again in the future.”
Nieminen is expected to make his debut for the Club on Friday 8th August when they are at home to Swindon in an important Sky Sports Elite League match. Ricky Kling will miss that fixture as he will be competing in the Swedish Under-21 Final that evening.
